Rey is too old to carry the show. Puma, Fenix, Drago, Aerostar, Pentagon Jr, Cuerno, and many others are not only fresher characters, but also younger performers. Considering that Lucha Underground was in holding pattern until their true star got freed from his WWE contract, Mysterio is getting a big push once he officially arrive. How long it last before his knees go out again is anyone's guess.

Serg sold Lucha Underground one of his songs. Yeah, that was a real "what the f***" moment for me. For a split second I thought AJ was heading to LU. Of course reality then set in.

I hear Alberto tore his quad. Looks like it.apparently at the new show he went to WrestleFest 19 his match was changed and he was very limited.

I started watching last week and finally caught up with all episodes.
I like most of it pretty much. Cinematic segments, bird eye camera angle, characters yada yada yada.... Although i skipped last weeks main event (first time i skip anything on the show) because of the Texano dude. He bored me and he looks like a jobber.

Not sure about the Steel Cage match (though if it was just Cage standing around as a one man lumberjack match it could interesting) but the rest sounds awesome.

Pentagon Jr. vs. Argenis was so good and I am loving Pentagon trying to appease an unknown(?) Master. Said in WWE section I'd like to see something similar with Bray and someone.
*Angelico vs. Ivelisse was so much fun and the story with Son of Havoc was great. Angelico reminds me of Chris Sabin if he wasn't a midget and had talent.
*STEEL CAGE MATCH: Johnny Mundo vs. King Cuerno. Couldn't get into it. King Cuerno does nothing for me. Loved Mundo's Flying Go f*** Yourself though, thought he had killed Cuerno with it.
Finally, the Mil Muertes, Fenix and Katrina stuff is so good. Look more forward to that than much else on the show.

Mexican Snookie in the house. Pentagon Jr needs to just come out as a Satanist. AC Green probably won't be happy about it. Argenis got some shine before the eventual slaying. Might as well and make Pentagon a face because even breaking arms intentionally gets him cheers. Catrina wants Fenix to kill Mil Muertes. The power of pussy compels him. Now Konnan is going to cripple and/or kill Cage with a steel cane. For someone whose a hunter, King Cuerno got a pimping ass truck. Ivelisse Bella rocking the gold pants once more. Nice. Son of Havoc is the crowd fave. The Mikey Whipwreck of LU indeed. Angelico is kinda rapey. And bring in Jack Evans. Scratch that, he's Pepe Le Pew. I don't remember Mysterio having a sweet rack, Vampiro. Is Catrina really Death? And what is up with the rash of gimmick matches? But they can escape each other. It's one of the ways to win. Good cage match though the cage is small. Surprised that the feud is over after 4 weeks.

Geez they went cheap on that cage. Made the match look contrived even by cagematch standards. Of course in reality guys could always get over the cage more quickly than they do in the match but even my beat-up 46yr-old ass could get over that short cage in a heartbeat. But at least they weren't doing that stupid crap where you can just go out the door and it was still an entertaining match overall.

Given Pentagon's history in Mexico, turning him face would be almost like turning the Iron Sheik or King Kong Bundy face. Besides, the face/heel ratio is somewhat imbalanced right now, and they need a good crop of credible heels.

The crowd bought into his sadism and Pentagon is one of the more popular people on the roster.

The crowd bought into his sadism and Pentagon is one of the more popular people on the roster. If that's the case, it'll be 18 faces on the roster vs. 10 heels (and one of those heels, Son of Havoc, is also getting face reactions). So either some guys will need to turn the other way (the loser of Drago/Aerostar is a possiblity), or they need to bring in some new rudos fast.

The problem is the crowd cheers for people regardless of alignment. One of the things I liked about Lucha Libre USA was that they had an anti Mexico stable called the Front who got great heel heat. Meanwhile Mil Muertes is physically abusive to Catrina and the crowd is actually cheering him on. So they need to focus on making wrestlers truly hated instead of trying to be cool.

I still think they've got the best production in wrestling today. They blow WWE out of the water with all the pre-recorded stuff.
Pentagon Jr vs Argenis was fun. I like this old school gimmick they've got going on with Pentagon in how he's putting dudes on the shelf every match. I'm very interested to see who is going to step up and put a stop to this arm-breaking. Plus the whole "master" thing hopefully pans out to something nice.
Ivelisse vs Angelico: Great way to do the male/female match even if Angelico is kind of a perv. I would have liked to see Ivelisee get more offense, but it was fun. Fun is definitely the word I'd use to describe most of Lucha Underground, which is refreshing. I do like the dynamic of all three of these characters and that spinning splash to the outside was very cool. And I love Ivelisse's intro with the bandana. Her whole looks is terrific.
Mundo vs Cuerno: I agree that the steel cage looked pretty rickety, but it worked for the vibe of the whole "underground temple" thing they're doing. Mundo is really a great talent that I'm glad found a spot outside WWE for him to shine. I could imagine PJ Black fitting in pretty well too if they wanted to do him and Angelico in a South African tag team. Cuerno has amazing explosive energy to his moves. The guy just comes at you like a missle. And that last move by Mundo off the top of the cage! Hell yeah.
Really enjoying LU and its outpaced NXT as the TV show I look forward to most each week. but not by much.

The Catrina/Mil Muertes stuff is bad - "Neo Nazi snuff film director Luis Cypher and his wrestling gimp Tool from XPW" level bad. I'm sorry, but "magical, one-dimensional, purely evil sex maniac" shouldn't be a thing anymore. It's not sexy or intriguing. Hell, it isn't even interesting. It's just insulting. Same thing goes for Angelico's "Glen Quagmire/Pete Le Pew" shtick during his match with Ivelisse,

I binge watched all of the shows and I love it. Some stuff is corny, like the owner in his office segments, but I am digging it all so far. Where can I get one of those Lucha Underground T-shirts? I have looked online, and on the website of the channel, but I have had no luck!
