Good to see Lucha Underground making their presence known at NYCC. Didn't know Kevin Owens was such a Lucha Underground fan. Even got the t-shirt tan! Great cosplay.

A new authority figure reopens the temple while Dario/Lotus/Matanza drive across America? Mil Muertes as the dark overseer of the temple sounds too intriguing as well

Per the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Jeff Cobb will be one of the major stars of Season 2. They're also interested in bringing in Rey Horus, Flamita, "Speedball" Mike Bailey and Will Ospreay.

I thought Ospreay turned it down because he doesn't want to be out of England for an extended period of time? Flamita & Speedball would rule though, even if it means Flamita leaves Dragon Gate.

That was AAA Meltzer was referring to. Will could do LU especially under the four tapings a weekend schedule where he wouldn't need to be at every taping, yet still get plenty of screen time.

Fair enough. I hope he does it, dude deserves to be seen on a bigger stage. As long as it doesn't mean his Progress title reign is cut out from under him.

Based on his behavior lately and how he protested being the opening match for Ultima Lucha, (He wanted his match with Mundo the main event) I think LU would be better off not bringing back Alberto for a while with how reports are saying. He seems to start becoming more trouble than he's worth recently and there's plenty of talent on there that can fill the gap.

Absoloutley he just isn't worth the trouble at this point and time and also with him being the highest paid guy in LU there would be much better ways to spend that money IMO.

Alberto is not coming back due to LU not living up to their promise of making him a big deal, very quickly. He expected the red carpet and got treated like everyone else which is a major blow to his ego. Besides he got WWE knocking back on his door and Alberto's stance against the company changed greatly the past couple of months. TNA is making a big offer for his services but no one is taking that deal with a sane mind. Flamita already did a match in AAA as Fireball which been shown on AAA tv. Speedball is coming for shows within a month. Basically as I said before; the only way you getting in Lucha Underground is either with AAA connections or they are planning to bring you in.

Yeah, I think Alberto while perhaps the most popular wrestler with the live crowd, aside from Pentagon obviously, is hardly essential.
I really want to see what women they bring in.

Yeah that would save quite a chunk of money for them

That quote needs to go...something. It is too good to not be used.

So who's gonna play the role of Barrio Negro (The DOD with the full body outfit and gold mask) now that Argenis is gone?

I love LU so, so much but I really hate those three goons who are our trios champions. I hope they just hire two competent jobbers to team with Mandel and let Mariachi Loco go back to that awesome gimmick.

If Alberto is gullible (or stupid) enough to go to TNA than they deserve the headaches he's going to cause them as I doubt they could even live up to 1% of the promises they'd offer him.
