Punk: I want 15 million a year. And ice-cream bars.

Only way punk would come out of retirement is if he gets offered the real Hogan deal, the one that WCW gave him, one million per month, creative control.... Punk with creative control would be a nightmare. It would be two hours of inside jokes and snide remarks.

Punk with creative control would be a nightmare. It would be two hours of inside jokes and snide remarks. That and Colt Cabana facing him at Bound for Glory...but it's the only way he's signing, the guy wants the whole world, which I understand, he held the belt for almost a year and a half and considers facing the Undertaker a demotion, only way to bait him back in wrestling is giving him full control, and a shitload of money. If the offer was serious enough Punk would also demand that Gaburick was fired as head of creative, and Lagana would run everything. I don't know if the product would suck, but Hogan had creative control and everything revolved around him, because of that we got the dungeon of doom amongst other things, I like to think that Punk wouldn't be selfish enough, but absolute power...
We'll never know, TNA doesn't have the resources. On a highspots shoot interview Flair did with Piper, they ask him if anyone could compete with Vince, Flair said that to be on a national level you needed a Ted Turner investment, and be willing to lose money for a few years before you can establish your company. I wish we had another Ted Turner who authorized a younger Bischoff to sign Punk.
I wish that a billionaire (like a Mark Cuban) would buy TNA from under Dixie and spend millions on the company. Someone with hookups on Hollywood. Turner had an empire the WCW already looked mainstream, he could put the wrestlers on any show and they were seen as a big deal. I'm sad I think that no one will compete with Vince again at the highest level. I wish the Facebook guy was a wrasslin fan and would buy TNA

"Hello, is that CM Punk, best in the world? This is Dixie Carter of Impact Wrestling. Second best in the world. By a country mile. And ROH might also have a valid argument these days too..."

Punk reportedly expressed no interest in working in pro wrestling again. I can imagine he gave TNA the one finger salute.

They absolutely should make every effort to sign him. He's probably the biggest free agent in pro wrestling. Why not try?

Dixie: "C'mon, join TNA!" Punk: "No." Dixie: "I'll be your friend." Punk: "No." Dixie: "Awww... You're mean!"

So they couldn't resign Hogan himself, Sting, The production crew, AJ Styles but they all of sudden have money to offer CM Punk? What was really the offer a McDonald's coffee and a bag of skittles. Actually my sources say that Punk was ready to accept the deal just to stick it to Vince. All Punk wanted was a Diet Pepsi. Dixie brought him a Diet Coke instead.

It's really sad. They haven't learned that signing a big name talent won't get them anywhere, no matter who it is. I think that's the main reason TNA will never be successful. There's no learning from the past.

They already have Austin Aries. Just push him fully instead of those yoyo teases at the title.

In the bizzaro world where this was actually pull-offable, who wouldn't want another Joe/Punk, a Aries/Punk, revisit Hardy/Punk or branch out, Carter/Punk, Angle/Punk and so on and so forth?

Of course I would but this is TNA the show no matter what you do nobody cares at this point. TNA is to much damage goods too do those matches and matter. Full Metal Mayhem is an example. Some call it an insanely good match and said the talent in it went crazy in taking insane stops and was it worth it? I doubt it because the ratings will likely be the same and nothing is going to come of it.

I don't see Punk as someone who will sell out his principles for a check like Flair. Dude left WWE with a high paying spot for Wrestlemania and the constant revenue stream for his merchandise and licencing. TNA still haven't learned that no one will can save TNA as long as the system in place is so f***ed up.
