Anyone else just get an email from WWE saying "limited video advertisements" will start on the Network today?

Yep, just received that particular e-mail.
Way to make your struggling VOD service worse, WWE. Really makes me regret renewing.

Here's what you can expect: • No commercial breaks during scheduled programming • Limited advertising between shows • Occasional advertising before our video-on-demand content So basically like Youtube. God forbid you have to wait 20 seconds to watch a video. Good business move and literally has zero impact on whether I want to carry on subscribing or not.

Thing is, I don't pay for YouTube. Do you or someone in your house pay for television you watch? I get what you're saying, but I think that's apples and oranges. If Netflix starting running ads, I'm sure most would be a little upset about it. It's almost like when they'd run ads during a PpV you just paid $50-$60 for, in my opinion.

They ran ads in between programming anyway so it's not a big deal.
As long as the ads before VOD content is short, I'm good.

This might sound overly fussing but sometimes when I'm in the mood for a quick classic match, the content warning is enough to make me feel like I can't be bothered to wait, I just want to get to the event so I can get on with finding the match I want. If there is also going to be a 30 second ad in addition to the 8 second warning, then I'm sorry but this is gonna be enough to put me off using it more often than not. It's still worth it for the PPVs though, so I'll guess I'll put up with it. Although saying that, my card expired and I haven't bothered to sort is as far as the network goes yet. I'm not interested in HITC so it may be a while until I watch the network again.

It's 2014. Are people really claiming a few seconds of sponsorship will prevent them from doing something? It's like boycotting this website because it has a banner advertisement at the bottom.

I'm not too bothered by it. I expected it MUCH sooner.

I'm fine with some commercials. I am not fine with no old RAWs and Hardcore TVs being uploaded in months.

I think its either ads or it will be more expensive Probably both, given how much they keep emphasizing that you'll get every PPV through the Rumble and not mentioning that Elimination Chamber and Mania would now be part of it if you signed up now.

Well last month, they didn't bother even mentioning the rumble. I guess it just depends on how close the nearest big 4 ppv is.
