Sure we like to call them E & C (or the E & C connection), but they are officially just Edge and Christian. They only used Edge's Music, and until the con chair to, they didn't have a team finisher or a lot of double team moves. They were basically Daniels and Kazarian before they became bad influence.
They're basically one step above a makeshift tag team. Yet they were pretty awesome and iconic.

My favourite tag team ever. Although it always made me a bit sad that WWE clearly favoured Edge from the start.

That era with Edge and Christian vs The Hardyz vs The Dudlyz was amazing. Is that the last time tag team wrestling was treated as an important thing in the WWE?

It really is mind blowing now.

Isn't their tag team name Edge & Christian rather than Edge and Christian?

I still love that one segment where Christian stood up to Bill DeMott for making fun of Edge's name.

I still wish they could have had one last run as a tag team. Rated R Charisma They were supposed to in 2011 by beating Gabriel and Slater on SD but i guess it got canned.

But back to the OP's question...
Going back a bit, there was the team of Dick the Brusier and The Crusher who are one of the most beloved tag teams of all time. Unless it's escaping me right now, they never had an official name or nickname.

Would the Hardys or Dudley count as no name?

When looking at them in 1998/1999 and then in 2000, I wonder...
How did they actually transition from goths to whacked out surfer dudes?

The last time the tag titles were competitive was around 2006/2007 when you had teams like MNM, London & Kendrick, the Hardy's reunion, Cryme Tyme and WGTT reunion all vying for the belts.
