Brett Favre has as many rings as Peyton Manning, 1 less SB appearance, but has more INT's in the playoffs than even Peyton. Favre or Manning- who'd ya take? Manning. Though it made me think:what would Manning's numbers be if he didn't have the privilege of playing a minimum 8 games a year in a dome for over a decade. It's absolutely a valid question.

While I agree the Peyton Manning is an excellent QB, and that most teams in the league would take him in a millisecond if he became a free agent, I think I have to rank him just a smidge behind others all time greats and put him on the list with QBs like Dan Marino, Jim Kelly, Bret Farvre, etc.
Granted he probably still has a few years left and could Elway a few more Super Bowls.

In case anyone's curious (and I know you're not), my personal all-time top-three quarterback rankings goes as follows:
1. Joe Montana 2. Tom Brady 3. Peyton Manning
Just so I'm clear here. I'm not saying Peyton Manning sucks, I'm just saying he's not the greatest QB ever, which is the narrative that's been thrust upon us as football fans for the last half-decade.

Colt McCoy has officially passed Kirk Cousins on the Redskins' depth chart. Well, that's next Monday sewn up, then.

Washington has to regret not striking when the iron was hot last fall and trading Kirk Cousins while his value was still high. People perceived him to be a quality starting quarterback, and there were calls from fans in DC to start Cousins over Robert Griffin III when RG3 was struggling in 2013 after coming back from knee surgery.
Now if they tried to swing a trade, they'd be lucky to net anything lower than a sixth-round pick.

I cant in all that is good and holy put Brady ahead of Manning I just cant do it! Call it bias for all the years of being a tormented Jets fan. Manning is the best regular season QB(I think that we can all agree on that). While Joe Montana is the best playoff QB. Since Tom Brady is clearly not either of those QBs than why must we argue who is the better Manning or Brady?

Ganon's top 10 QBs of all time 1. Tom Brady Brady has won everything and has done it all in 15 years. To be so good so long in the salary cap era with constantly changing teammates is a challenge but he has done it. When you give him bad receivers he can still drag the team to the AFC championship game, while if you give him good-great receivers he can break records. 2. Joe Montana Do I really have to make an argument for this one? It's Joe Montana. 3. John Elway He dragged these medicore Denver teams through the play-offs multiple times. And when he finally got a run game, he started winning Super Bowls. 4. Peyton Manning The best regular season QB of all time. The reason he didn't crack the top 3 is a bad play-off record with some great Indy and Denver teams. 5. Johnny Unitas If I were down by 13 with 5 minutes left in the game I'd have Unitas as my QB over anybody. 6. Brett Favre He wasn't a great decision maker at all, and he only won a single Superbowl in 20 years, but he made up for it in heart and pure skill, along with longevity that nobody has come close to so far. 7. Jim Kelly If the Bills had won just one of those Super Bowls, Kelly would be above Favre. Led an AFC dynasty in a conference with Elway and Marino. 8. Dan Marino Just constant wrong place, wrong time with his career. A Miami team with Barry Sanders on it as Barry and Marino talked often about or a Detroit team with Marino would of made a giant difference to both franchises. 9. Warren Moon So good that he made it out of Canada, a rare feat for any player in the NFL. And in spite of joining the league relatively late in his career he still broke records 10. Roger Staubach The best QB in NFC East history. He might not have had the talent some other QBs on this list have but he made up for it with leadership and drive Honorable mention- Joe Namath As a player he had great skill but was plagued by injuries, and only had a few good years. But he may be the biggest superstar football has ever known, and one of the most important- Broadway Joe and the Jets winning Superbowl III over a Colts team then regarded as one of the best of all team helped to legitimize the AFL in many people's eyes.

Coach Mike Pettine said the Browns "briefly" considered benching Brian Hoyer in favor of Johnny Manziel in Cleveland's 24-6 loss to Jacksonville.
Hoyer dropped the worst game of his career on the Jaguars, going 16-of-41 passing, turning it over twice, and taking three sacks. He missed a number of throws. "It was discussed briefly, but it was a situation where we still wanted to at least try to end the game with Brian on a positive note,'' Pettine said. Pettine went on to say Hoyer is "firmly our starter," but that's hard to believe. Once you start thinking about going to the backup, it's just a matter of time. Hoyer can't afford to lose to the 0-6 Raiders.

Lets see what the percentage looks like when he catches up to the man.

So by your logic Brady > Manning Brady does have a better percentage but he's played in 45 less games than Payton. Lets see what the percentage looks like when he catches up to the man. He's played in nearly 200 games, it's not like he's won 3 out of 4 in his first year and people are comparing his record to Manning's.

So by your logic Brady > Manning Brady does have a better percentage but he's played in 45 less games than Payton. Lets see what the percentage looks like when he catches up to the man. For the sake of your argument, let's say Peyton Manning retires tomorrow and Tom Brady plays another 48 games to catch up to Manning. Manning is 172-74 in 246 games. Brady is 153-45 in 198 games. For Brady to equal Manning's regular-season total for wins, he would have to go 19-29 in those 48 games. So for Tom Brady to equal Peyton Manning's winning percentage through 246 games, he would have to lose 29 out of 48 games and adversely affect his own winning percentage. Hate to break it to you, but that's not happening.
