Manning easily deserves to be in the conversation for the most talented QB's of all times. Technically, he's amazing, and has done it despite not always having the talent or coaching around him that other qb's like Montana and Brady have had. But as far as most successful QB's go, he's really not even close, hell, you could argue that his brother, who isn't nearly as talented, is more successful than he is due to his post-season success.
The best QB's tend to be a combination of these, so while I think Manning deserves to be looked at for his talent, I have a hard time putting him above several other QB's just based on the success that others have had.

Not always having the talent around him like BRADY? Peyton Manning came up with the Colts surrounded by receivers, tight ends, and running backs such as Marshall Faulk, Marvin Harrison, Reggie Wayne, Marcus Pollard, Edgerrin James, Dallas Clark, Joseph Addai, Brandon Stokley, and Pierre Garcon. He then went to Denver and has targets that include Demaryius Thomas, Eric Decker, Julius Thomas, Wes Welker, Emmanuel Sanders, and Knowshon Moreno. I'd love to see Tom Brady with talent like that on offense, because the one time he actually had a loaded offense, he shattered just about every passing record in the books in 2007.

Not always having the talent around him like BRADY? Note talent or coaching. The Belichick factor is huge with Brady, so huge that when Brady got injured, the Pats almost made the playoffs with Matt Freakin' Cassel as QB. Any team that can come within a hair of the playoffs with Matt Freakin Cassel as QB has a whole lot more behind them than just a QB. I'm a Chief's fan, Bill duped us all with Cassel, so it'll be hard to convince me that you couldn't take a cardboard cutout of Joe Namath and have them finish with a winning record on the Pats during those years. Let's not pretend that Brady dragged The Little Giants to the Super Bowl here.

No Brady had talent its Belicheat who decided to chip away at the talent because they had a "system" and the players were expendable parts. Well at a certain point you need talent to win it all.

Great another NFL thread that is doomed to be nothing but NE fans talking about how Manning sucks behind a claim of not doing it while everyone else tries to point out Manning is actually damned good with actual NFL stuff that doesn't rest on fanboy posturing gets ignored isn't it?
Guess I'll check back in Thursday.

Time for pointless playoff fun. This thread needs some now that it's back to Brady vs. Manning Part 369.
Here is where things would stand right now if things ended today:
NFC
1) Dallas Cowboys 2) Arizona Cardinals
3) Detroit Lions vs. 6) Green Bay Packers 4) Carolina Panthers vs. 5) Philadelphia Eagles
AFC
1) Denver Broncos 2) Indianapolis Colts
3) New England Patriots vs. 6) Cincinnati Bengals 4) Baltimore Ravens vs. 5) San Diego Chargers
So yeah, just how we all had it before the season started.

Thank you for that late Touchdown, Arian Foster. With that, I win in my ESPN league by THREE POINTS.
Of course, ESPN decided to crash late in that game, causing me to freak out and go, "WHAT THE F***, ESPN?!!! NOT NOW!!!!"

Bucs signed KR Trindon Holliday. He is a potential highlight reel. You know what my favorite Trindon Holliday highlight was?

Guess I'll check back in Thursday. With all due respect, nobody is saying that Manning sucks. The argument is whether or not he's the greatest of all time. Neither side has resorted to name calling or flaming. It's a simple debate, albeit one that's been had a bunch of times.

I had Philadelphia, Green Bay, and Arizona in the playoffs. Of course I had Arizona as a wildcard and the other 2 as division champs. I certainly didn't think Seattle would be 3-3 right now.

Big game this weekend with Cincy/Baltimore. Pittsburgh's win last night was important. Perhaps there will be a race in the AFC North
