Redskins placed OLB Brian Orakpo on injured reserve with a torn right pectoral, ending his season.
NFL suspended Bucs DL Da'Quan Bowers two games for violating the league's policy on performance-enhancing substances.

Great another NFL thread that is doomed to be nothing but NE fans talking about how Manning sucks behind a claim of not doing it while everyone else tries to point out Manning is actually damned good with actual NFL stuff that doesn't rest on fanboy posturing gets ignored isn't it? Guess I'll check back in Thursday. I just called Peyton Manning the third-greatest quarterback in NFL history. I'm pretty confident that doesn't equate to him sucking.

Patriots acquired OLB Akeem Ayers from the Titans in exchange for a sixth-round pick.
Per CBS' Jason La Canfora, the Pats are also getting a sixth-rounder in return.

The Cowboys cut Michael Sam from their practice squad. Why do I feel like Belichick is going to pick up the phone? Cowboys should've kept him and offered him in a trade. The way Belichick's been acting, they might get Gronk in return.

Nobody wants him that's the problem. Can't trade a practice squad player, but any team at any time can sign someones P-Squad player the only thing is they have to go on the new teams 53 man roster. It's why you see teams make some questionable bottom of the roster moves this time of year (Denver....5 RBs on active roster...really) and signing their own P-squaders to 53 man contracts to protect them from going somewhere else.

I know; I'm just joking about New England's peculiar choices in personnel. They've recently been doing things that don't make a great deal of sense.

Well they aren't gonna want him anyway...he's not from Rutgers

Guys guys guys!! Can't we all just get along? Some people think Peyton Manning is the greatest quarterback of all time. Some people say Tom Brady is the greatest quarterback of all time. Some people even think Aaron Rodgers is the greatest quarterback of all time. Not sure who, but there are people out there who think it. We all have differing opinions. It's okay to disagree. If we all thought the same thing, it would be boring. Besides, THIS GUY is the greatest quarterback of all time, IMHO. {Spoiler} And this is coming from a Cowboys fan.

I have him #1 and Brady edging out Manning for 2.

Here's a different question- Do you consider Manning the best one-SB ring QB?
In this case, this includes guys like Steve Young (Yes, he won 2 rings in the late 80s, but that was when Montana was the #1 guy), Favre, Brees, Warner.

I would then say Manning, then Young, then Warner, then Brees, then Favre.

Got some fantasy dilemmas again this week. Here's everyone I have available this week (Frank Gore is on a bye):
QB- Philip Rivers/Nick Foles RB- Chris Ivory/Matt Forte WR- Alshon Jeffery/Steve Smith/Julian Edelman/Pierre Garcon/DeAndre Hopkins/Riley Cooper TE- Martellus Bennett/Julius Thomas Defense- Eagles/Bengals
My league has a 1 QB/2 RB/2 WR/1 TE/1 offensive flex/1 defense
What should I do, and should I consider dumping any of these guys?

Apparently a Seattle TV station ran a picture of Gary Payton instead of Peyton Manning when talking about his TD record. Gary Payton Manning

The Boston Globe reports Patriots RE Chandler Jones has a hip injury that will sideline him "about" one month.

Like I said earlier in this thread, Peyton is only behind Brady, Montana, and Elway. Brady has done more on worse teams, Montana is Montana, and Elway might of had worse talent than Brady at times.

QB - Rivers. He is on fire and I sort of expect that the Cardinals D might cause Foles some trouble. RB - Why is this a question, unless you have three HBs and need to pick the second one? If that is the case, I would take Forte simply because he does not have bad games in general and reliable points is a good thing. WR - Smith and Edelman. Smith is not only tearing it up this year, he will be facing a Bengals defense that got steamrolled HARD this past week. Chicago has had a number of key injuries to their DBs and I expect Brady to take full advantage of that. Might as well expect Edelman to be a big part of that. TE - Thomas. I expect an attempt at a shootout and Thomas would play heavily into that. Defense - Wow, what a shitty choice. I say Eagles and pray that Bad Carson shows up to play for the Cardinals this week. That Bengals D did not impress me in the slightest. Flex off - Hopkins. He could have decent numbers against the Titans.
