Eddie and Benoit didn't go as well together as you'd expect. I've seen them have a fantastic match on Nitro but their match at Vengeance was only OK and their match at ONS was probably one of the worst matches in either men's catalog. I really love the Vengeance match, my only issue was the crowd being dead for it. I think they had one at Armageddon 2002 that was horrid though. The ONS one was awful yes. Regal and Jericho bored me in 2001 with their matches.

Aside from Mark Henry and arguably Kane (I personally enjoy this pairing, but it seems like a lot of people hate it), Big Show just plain doesn't work well against other big guys. Those Sheamus matches were the best he's had in a decade.

Undertaker and The Rock come to mind immediately.

If the "True Story of WrestleMania" DVD is to be believed, these two had such appalling chemistry during house show matches in late 1991 and early 1992, that it forced WWF to completely scrap and revamp its plans for WrestleMania VIII. The initial main event was to be Hulk Hogan vs. Ric Flair, the two most dominant champions of the 1980s, finally clashing on the biggest stage in wrestling. But apparently they bored people to sleep at house shows, to the point where they had no choice but to go with Flair vs. Randy Savage and Hogan vs. Sid Justice in a "double main event".

Watching their matches that have been released from that era, it might not be an exaggeration.

Mabel and Diesel.
Both have had decent matches with smaller guys but that match they had at Summerslam 1995 was shite.

Somebody mentioned Mr. Perfect vs. Shawn Michaels. That match was very disappointing for how good both of them were in the ring.
The Undertaker and Sid didn't work very well together. Their WrestleMania 13 match was a good exhibition in the use of rest-holds.

Austin vs Undertaker, they never had a good together, they were the Cena-Orton of their time. Rvd vs Triple H

Honestly, I'd say Taker / Austin's SummerSlam 1998 match was pretty good and their First Blood one is decent. Outside of that, yeah, their matches together were largely terrible.

For a guy who had great matches all over the card, I thought Rey vs. Morrison sucked.

I've heard it said that Eddie REALLY did not want to be at ONS for some reason, and you can just read it in his attitude the entire match.

I didn't care for Jericho/Punk at Mania.

People keep listing Kane...he doesn't mesh well with anyone but Chris Benoit and Bryan as far as Singles Matches go. I'll go for Kane/Taker for the sheer number of times they fought, and the fact that they had ONE decent match the entire time (at Mania 14). Inferno? Awful. Hell in a Cell? Awful. Countless triple threats? All bad. Buried Alive? Atrocious. I can go on and on.

IIRC, it was because he just turned heel for the "I'm your Papi" angle and he wanted to focus on that, instead, especially since he had just turned heel and he was cheered at that show.
