855 people are viewing WWE Current right now. That has to be a new record.

That is what I came in here to ask. It is on the schedule but not accessible until AFTER the replay/West Coast showing. That is f***ed up. Anyway, that main event was simply amazing. West Coast showing? Uhhh, we aren't on time delay on PPV/WWE Network like we are on cable, so that's even more bizarre. Technically the replay is for the West Coast since it would not air at a great time. Despite people having easy access to it in the VOD section, it not being on the live stream in the traditional West Coast replay time led to a lot of bitching. WWE went without a replay for several shows but around Summerslam, people were bitching so they made a change.

For real, I would put the last 30 minutes of Survivor Series up against the last 30 minutes of any WWE pay-per-view of the last decade or so. Maybe it's because I've been so conditioned by WWE to expect nothing but the absolute worst, so when they give me something really, really, ridiculously good, I just lose all bodily function and speak exclusively in hyperbole. But holy s*** was that an amazing end to a pay-per-view.
It's amazing how replacing one guy with another can totally change my perspective as well. If that were John Cena scrapping and beating Kane, Luke Harper, and Seth Rollins by himself, I would've thrown so much shade at it that no amount of Sting could have saved it. But the fact that instead of giving us the same old crap and watching Cena limply shoulder-block and weakly STF his way out of a 3-on-1 hole, they changed it up and gave Dolph Ziggler the spotlight completely changes my perspective.
And as for Sting's return, I swear, that ending was like what we would all fantasy book in video games or some crap. "And then Cena gets knocked out...and then Ziggler mounts a comeback...and then Triple H keeps cheating...and then STING shows up...and then Sting drops Triple H...and then Ziggler wins!" It was just insane, out of control chaos, and I loved every second of it.
I can understand why people wouldn't like the end of this show, just as I can understand how people don't love warm chocolate-chip cookies, walking on the beach on a summer day, or spending pleasant time in the company of friends. Different strokes for different folks. But there is no way anyone can talk me out of loving the s*** out of that ending.

Triple H is probably one of the best choices to work with Sting at WrestleMania.

Sting is in WWE Big Show turned heel just in time to reform the Dungeon of Doom! What's going on? What is this place? THERE'S NO CENATION HERE! I've never been here before! IT'S NOT HOT!

People will call it overbooked, and you know, that's their right. To me, that overbooking was to give the match all the swings that it needed to have the impact that it did. It told the story I wanted in my wrestling matches. And honestly, the ending was the perfect deus ex machina for the story, it doesn't give a guy unneccesary super powers so he can still logically be the underdog, but it still doesn't force him to be robbed of the win that he earned multiple times.
The only thing I'd say was badly done was the count-out. That really made no sense given how long everyone was out of the ring. Other than that, I think it went through the entire story arc that it needed to go through, which a lot of matches really lack.

When man's heart is full of deciet... It burns up, dies... And a dark shadows falls over his soul... From the ashes of a once great man, has risen a curse... A wrong that must be righted... We look to the skies for a vindicator, someone to strike fear into the black hearts of the sane man who created him... The battle between good, and evil has begun... Against an army of shadows, lies the dark warrior... The prevailer of good... With a voice of silence... And a mission of justice... This is Sting.
Sorry, I just felt, really obligated to leave this here...
That is the only thing I missed. That would have been perfect but I also get it takes a few minutes for that, then the video package, then for Sting to get to the ring and start the staredown.

Jesus f***ing Christ, man. I'm positively thrilled that so many people seem to have liked it, though. I'm usually on the other side of this coin. I did "scream like this was the Nineties" at Sting showing up, but a part of me does wish Ziggler didn't win just because Sting literally put him on top of Rollins, who was probably marking out so hard when Sting showed up he pee'd and poo'd a little which left him too squicked out to get up. The only thing I kinda wished for is that Ziggler could've drove Rollins down one last time so he could've really gotten the pin as this really struck me as a Rock/Triple H at Backlash 2000 ending. Sure, Austin came out and helped The Rock but it still took The Rock himself finishing off Triple H to get the victory.

Can we all also just take a moment and realize Stings like 10 minutes on WWE TV just completely blew his 10 years in TNA Out of the Water and into F***ing space?

I liken Sting's appearance to the end of the Rock-HHH Iron Man match, with Undertaker coming out on the bike amid all this chaos.
Only thing I'd have changed is playing a clip of that Sting speech from Starrcade, about him being the pervaior (sp?) of good, instead of playing that Wyatt-esque clip with the crow noises. But I'm a snob for music cues and the like.
But honestly... God damn. How he fits in, if at all, from here on... Who cares? Tonight was awesome.

Honestly, the only reason that I don't mind Sting's role is because Ziggler did finish him off twice. If Sting had come otu after a curb stomp or something, then I'd absolutely agree, but Ziggler had pinned him for about 20 before it all ended so it didn't feel like a cheap victory to me, it felt like the guy was finally getting the victory he earned before but was continually robbed of. Granted, I may be fine with it because my favorite moments all tend to have outsiders helping the face in just as egregious ways (Foley's first title win, f.ex).

Triple H is probably one of the best choices to work with Sting at WrestleMania. He's who I've been hoping for if Sting must face somebody. Triple H will bring his A-game to that.

News is Hulk Hogan and Ric Flair heard Sting is back and are racing to get to the Arena, just so they can turn on him.

I hope that Sting reveals he came back to settle some long standing grudge he had with this Terra Ryzin kid back in WCW. "This isn't Sting talking to Triple H right now, this is Sting talking to Terra Ryzin."

As much as I'd like to see him fight Taker, I think Triple H is the better choice for a good match. Triple H is still at that point where he could step it up mid-match if something happened and he needed to carry things.
