RAW is live tonight from San Antonio off the back of the Hell in a Cell special event, as we begin the road to St. Louis and the Survivor Series on November 23rd.
John Cena will have another date with Brock Lesnar for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, following his win in the Hell in a Cell rematch with Randy Orton. The question is, will that title match take place at Survivor Series?
Speaking of Orton, he also has issues with Seth Rollins following last week's curb stomp, and thanks to an unwelcome visitor, Rollins left his Hell in a Cell match with Dean Ambrose victorious. Will the two Authority members be on a collision course now?
Ambrose lost his grudge match with Rollins thanks to the smoky arrival of Bray Wyatt, who appears to have chosen Ambrose as his new prey. How will the Lunatic Fringe react at not being able to settle matters with his former Shield colleague, and suddenly being thrown into a new war with someone as demented as himself?
Big Show is the latest American to fall to Rusev's Accolade. Who's next for the Russian sympathiser, and will anything develop in Show's friendship with Mark Henry?
Brie Bella will be spending the next month at her twin sister Nikki's beck and call, after the Authority approved Bella's win last night. Brie has to obey to everything Nikki asks her to do for the next 30 days, otherwise she will be fired from the WWE. What humiliating tasks does Nikki have planned?
All this, and seemingly definitive victories for the rest of WWE's champions, sets up tonight's RAW, which for UK viewers will start at the earlier time of Midnight, due to clocks going back to GMT a week before US clocks go back, so make sure your DVR is set properly! 8/7c as usual for USA and Canada!

I just hope Bray kept Live In Fear as his theme. No need to change something so good.

You also forgot to mention Hulk Hogan is scheduled for Raw tonight. He's tweeted about Rusev a bit, so that may be what segment he's in tonight

My problem with Ambrose vs Wyatt is that Bray just lost so many feuds and Ambrose lost his last feud against Rollins and one of them will have to lose this one too. Both need to be in feuds where they will come on top at this stage of their careers.

Hulk Hogan cuts a promo, gets interrupted by Rusev, who teases beating down Hogan until somebody runs in to stop him. (Sheamus? Show?)

Both need to be in feuds where they will come on top at this stage of their careers. I had the same exact thought. Neither man can really afford to lose this feud. Which usually means copious amounts of shenanigans.

What a strange coincidence.
Smoke Monster is mentioned in the thread title while Scott Keith compared the ending of the Seth/Dean match in his HIAC review to the following:
"Since WWE is all about comparing themselves to other, better, pop culture, this was like if you were watching a dramatic cop movie like Heat and just as the movie is building to the climactic fight between Deniro and Pacino, suddenly the smoke monster from Lost appears and magically knocks out Pacino so that Deniro can shoot him in the head and get away."
Weird.

Can RAW tonight make me no longer appalled? I doubt it, I'm pretty appalled by the garbage finish last night, to me some of the worst disappointing booking possible, as a fan of either Seth or Ambrose winning. Not into a Russo unrelated run-in, plus just personally I'm not that into Wyatt, in ring or on promos. I've been pretty high on WWE even when it's often been considered a low point, but for me last night was THE low point.
Long story short, I'm not excited for Dean/Wyatt, especially with it having tainted the best feud in years, but here's hoping something on the show amuses me and gives me something to look forward to from WWE again.
One thing that is still magic to me despite another disappointing finish last month is The Beast with Heyman. If they show up tonight (probably not), that'd take some of the stink off of last night.

RAW will be good if instead of the main stars getting stuck with needlessly long matches, they get character development. The PPV sucked because we'd already seen all of those matches on TV repeatedly. It felt like what a house show might.

I'll be watching mainly because I'm interested enough to see where they're going with this Ambrose/Wyatt feud

If they at least give me Dean violently interrupting one of Bray's rambling promos and wrecking shit on him, I'll be satistfied.

Apparently the Bella segments will be taped ones tonight.
I think that's the wisest route, because doing it live would be death

Goddamn am I reluctant to do so, but I think I'll give them the benefit of the doubt just a little bit and watch tonight before I decide if I'm swearing off the product or not. Did that last year after Hell in a Cell pissed me off and I ended up stopping watching until after TLC, but maybe this time around they'll win me over. Maybe. I doubt it.
