I see Memphis and Golden State in the WCF this year. The Dubs defense often gets overlooked but they can shut down players using Iggy

Uhh, Golden State would like a word. As would portland and Memphis As a Dallas fan I am more concerned about teams like Portland and Memphis. Memphis just makes teams play ugly and their grind it out style of play throws off every team.

Uhh, Golden State would like a word. Golden State will make noise. But they're all offense and no defense. Teams like Memphis, San Antonio, and possibly even Houston(providing their defense holds up) would beat them in a seven game series. I admit Golden State is scrappy and despite their flashy and exciting offense, they never quit. Go look up defensive efficiency rating for the beginning of this year and all of last year. We were a top 3 defense last year, and we're a #1 defense this year. We are not "all offense." Our issue is health. If we can keep bogut healthy going into the playoffs, WCF at minimum.

That's all fine and good. Believe me, I know Dallas isn't a defensive powerhouse by any means. I just don't see Golden State as much of a threat to teams like a San Antonio, Memphis, Portland, or even Houston. To be fair though, I believe we would be a better match-up for them and would most likely go seven games for sure. Memphis, on the other hand, would rattle Golden State and force them to play in a style that they're not used to.

"That's all fine and good." followed by a bunch of your opinion is not really a concrete retort to the measured statistics I used to back up the fact that GSW is not all offense. If you think we aren't a threat, you are in for a rude awakening. The only team that is emphatically better than us is San Antonio. That is it. And in a 7 game series, we would test them, if healthy. We would beat portland, we would beat Houston (because Bogut is mean and Dwight is soft, and because Harden cannot afford to sleep on Klay Thompson like he does on defense nightly.) I think we'd beat Dallas. Easily. And also, yes. Dallas is not a defensive powerhouse. Golden State is.

Their youth, inexperience, and their shoot first mentality tends to do them in. Now do I think they can make noise? Absolutely. They're a fun, exciting, and athletic team to watch. I don't think they could beat Dallas easily in terms of experience. The only team that I think you guys are better than, at least in my opinion, is Houston for sure, maybe Memphis providing you guys overcome their grind it out style, OKC, and I'd say Portland is about neck in neck with Golden State. I do not think you guys would beat Dallas easily. It would be an exciting match-up though.

I do not think you guys would beat Dallas easily. It would be an exciting match-up though. I wrote a long winded response to this but for some reason ProBoards deleted it. I'll do it in bulletpoints. -Warriors lead the league in Assists per game, as well as Field Goal% . We are not a shoot first team. That's vastly incorrect. -Houston reminds me of Orlando Dwight teams. Harden is arguably best player he's ever played with, but I think Orlando was deeper. -Warriors are not inexperienced. Second round knock out two years ago, 7 game first round knock out last year w/o bogut. Next logical step if healthy is WCF. -Dallas does not scare me, though I haven't watched many Dallas games this year. Chandler Parsons is a great addition. Monta's new found efficiency is nice. Tyson Chandler is vastly overrated. -OKC probably doesn't make playoffs this year. West is too deep. Portland can't see us. They don't have the strength inside. It would take 4 miracle games from LaMarcus to beat us in 7. -Memphis has the size inside to try and bully us. Would be fun to watch. I think the depth we have on our bench would help. Ezeli lives for tough defensive assignments, Bogut + Lee/Green is a good match up for ZBO/Gasol. -

I don't know what's wrong with the Spurs. They end up beating the Sixers by less than 10 points when I was expecting a blowout.

I don't know what's wrong with the Spurs. They end up beating the Sixers by less than 10 points when I was expecting a blowout. I 100% believe that was a game where most of the Spurs treated it like a preseason game. Why try and beat them by 40 when you can rest and halfass it and still win.

Didn't the Orlando Magic start off winless one season? I remember when they finally won a game they celebrated like it was a championship.

The Thread isn't nearly as fun without the Miami Heat being Heel Power Stable in the League. The message forum as a whole seems to have less activity in threads to be quite honest. Whatever happened to Tyfo and Carroll? This site's Mavs Fans haven't been around as much as they were around the time I first joined this site.

I'm a pretty big Mavs fan, but for some reason I really haven't popped into the NBA thread much. Wild win tonight.

Nice win for the Raps. Obviously, the Kings would have exploited the mismatch on JV had Boogie played, but Lowry was still outstanding tonight and this bodes well for the next three-plus weeks without DeRo.

I was at the Kings Raptors game and Lowry played one helluva game. Greivis is playing really well for Toronto too.
This game hurts, if Boogie was playing I'm sure we would have won tonight. We're missing his rebounding and defense more than his offense right now.
The Kings are one trade away from being a legitimate playoff team. I think we can get the 8th seed with our current roster, but to truly compete we need a knockdown scorer off the bench.

MONTA. HAVE. IT. ALL.
It's absolutely comical how polar opposite he and Brandon Jennings have looked since both left Milwaukee.
