Well, not only did they not lose by 30, but they're trying to grab this at the end. Enjoy the Pels while you can. They might steal one at home, so I'm watching this series mostly to see Davis go bonkers. Outscoring the likely MVP in your very first playoff game is something special, and I'm glad the nation at large is going to get some exposure to The Brow.

I'll be shocked if Cleveland not only goes all the way to the finals but also win it. I'm amazed how many people are expecting Cleveland to walk through the East. They were on the cover of Sports Illustrated so that's why I'll admit to being a bit hesitant to thinking they can go all the way.

One thing I love about this years playoffs is that there isn't a clear cut team that appears to be primed to win it all.

I still say this won't be a sweep. I won't be shocked if Boston wins Games 3 and 4 at home.

The Celtics showed some fight and didn't just roll over and quit when the Cavaliers led by as many as 20, but showing fight only gets you so far when you're woefully outmatched from a talent perspective.
Realistically, Boston might steal one game at home, but that's all. This series still feels like a clean sweep to me and if they can keep the games reasonably close into the fourth quarter, I'll take it as a moral victory.

So, what to make of the 1 seeds looking good most of the game, then holding off a late flurry?
Traditionally, game 1 of a series, rarely does the higher seed dominate from start to finish (Even last year, the Spurs and Heat had plenty of hairy moments in their opening playoff games)

I hate the Clippers so much. Flopping jackasses.
Paul was clearly throwing himself to the ground before Leonard made his move, and dumbass NBA refs constantly fall for their garbage.

Crazy fact:
This year marks the first time the Celtics made the playoffs at the same time the Bruins missed the playoffs since 1967
For so long, it was either both made it in the same year, both missed in the same year, or the Bruins made/Celtics missed.

So other than Toronto, everyone else held home serve on opening playoffs weekend (By contrast, road teams last year in game 1 of the first round were 5-3)

University of Connecticut head coach Kevin Ollie is being "seriously considered" for the Thunder head coaching job.

On the one hand, I'm honestly interested in seeing a post-Brooks Thunder. Cause the guy has gotten stale and predictable in his plays and rotations, and of course Russell delivered the dagger when he called Brooks his friend during the end of season interview. You never call the coach your friend, not while you're playing for him at least.
On the other hand, it would be some old bullshit for him to be fired for not making the playoffs after 5 straight playoff trips, even though he only fell like a game short of making the playoffs in a year with the team being cursed with injuries.

The people over at Uni Watch have obtained material associated with the Los Angeles Clippers' rebranding, most notably their new logo and jerseys. www.uni-watch.com/2015/04/20/uni-watch-exclusive-more-clippers-leaks/It's just my opinion, but the new look is so damn boring. When the New Jersey Nets became the Brooklyn Nets in 2012, they went with this generic, minimalist uniform and logo, and unfortunately other teams have followed suit. First, it was the Toronto Raptors with that lame basketball/claw logo unveiled late last year and now the Clippers are following up with one of their own. There has to be a middle ground between garish and boring and I think last week's Cleveland Browns uniform reveal toed that line perfectly. The uniforms were simple and clean without being boring, whereas this new Clippers redesign is simple, clean, and impossibly boring. It's so generic. Someone on Twitter pointed out that it's what it would look like in a video game that didn't have the NBA license and it's so true.

It looks like a collegiate team's uniform........and not a good one, either. What the f*** was wrong with the old uniform? I loved the Clipper's old script font logo.
