Timmy K is not happy that Raines only got 55%.

I'm happy for Pedro though. Best pitcher I've ever seen Still go with Clemens as the best pitcher I've ever seen. Of course I also think Bonds is the greatest player I've ever seen, Piazza is the greatest catcher, and Bagwell was probably the greatest 1st baseman I've ever seen.

I hope these writers that are moralizing about drugs in baseball give up the money they made writing about MLB in the 90s. I'm happy for Pedro though. Best pitcher I've ever seen Are you accusing the writers of being complete hypocrites as well as a bunch of self-righteous, pompous assholes? This will not stand, sir! Anyway, I think Smoltz, Randy Johnson, and Pedro are all deserving. Biggio I still think is borderline at best and based purely on what they brought to the game, Piazza should've gotten in easily over him.

Curt Schilling cracked me up with his response to Ravech asking if he thinks everyone in the Hall of Fame was clean.
His response: "No, God. I don't think many of them are."

There have been baseball writers that literally did not vote for Mantle, Mays, Seaver, Aaron and countless other alltime greats in their first years because reasons

Great class but severe lack of Piazza of course Who gets in next year? I'll guess Mike Piazza and Griffey Jr with Bagwell either just joining them or just missing.

Clearly leaving off a top 3 pitcher ever and the best player of all time continues to be sensical. And Piazza for having bacne. And Bagwell for being strong.

Also weird how Nomar Garciaparra stays on the ballot but not Carlos Delgado as well

With those four making it and Piazza being relatively close, I think it's a foregone conclusion that Piazza will get in.

I'm assuming Piazza and Ken Griffey will headline next year.

Best pitcher I've ever seen Agreed on both counts. The BBWAA is collection of some really smug douchebags. You can't turn a blind eye for years and then suddenly play the morality card when the public perceptipn changes And from 1997 to 2002 Pedro was an absolute beast that struck fear in oppising fans and players, and this was during the peak of the steroid era.

Also weird how Nomar Garciaparra stays on the ballot but not Carlos Delgado as well Nomar in his healthy prime was an amazing athelete. But I really struggle to call him a hall of fame player

No Mike Piazza again? What the f*** is wrong with the stupid baseball writers? More than anything, blame the 10-limit rule

But who even cares about the morality crap? They took stuff to help their games. People have been doing this for years upon years upon years. Just because there is a minor difference in the chemical compound of the drug doesn't make it a big deal. These guys were great players with or without them.

I fear that it'll the exact opposite for Piazza, the longer he stays on the list, the more his % will decrease.

This article from Jayson Stark in 2013, still holds true 2 years later. Hall of Fame is a mess.

I'd say that during the peak of the PED use, the users probably made up 75% of th league. If nothing else, you can argue that the playing field was more or less equal

PEDs didn't make them Hall of Famers.
