What did you think of this guy? I have to say that in my opinion, while he was not a great wrestler, he sure was entertaining. I remember at first, he had a cocky persona and rambled upon how he was the greatest and can't be beat, and also mention that he was a three-time world karate champion. However, later on, I thought he became even more entertaining with the whole dancing persona and doing dance moves similar to James Brown's moves. Plus, you can't deny how entertaining his ever-so-brief appearance in the 2004 Royal Rumble.
By the way, does anybody remember how on Thunder, a commercial for an exercise video called "Catbo" would air? I have even read how the number on the screen actually worked. I wonder what would have happened if I called it back then.

I didn't really care for him until he started getting microphone time. Once they let him speak, he became one of the only bright spots in WCW at the time.

I liked the guy, from hearing his Highspots shoot interview, he got a ton of heat because he was really stiff, he didn't had much experience, and they put him with Yuji Nagatha, he thought that you were supposed to beat the f*** out of each other. It also didn't helped him that he was Eric's friend, some boys resented him for that.
Allegedly he also taught karate to Usher, don't know if it's true or not.

He was a strong personality, added a cool element to the Blood Runs Cold storyline, but for someone who was as great of a mic worker as he was his commentary left something to be desired.

I started watching WCW in 2000 when Cat was WCW Commissioner (with his blonde, Sisqo inspired hair) and I thought he was a good talker with great presence and seemed like a star. He was great in that kind of role, not so much as just another guy on the roster.

indeed he was one of the very few bright spots in 1999-2001 WCW, he had that charisma, and became one of the typical "heel-so-entertaining-you-need-to-turn-face" guys

Should of been a manager. I always thought him as the Don King style manager of Orlando Jordan (pre-his coming out) could have been nice

Great charisma, pure entertainment, fun on the mic and a rare new star that WCW was using reasonably well.
That said, absolutely appalling wrestler.

What's the deal with all these wrestlers having the most generic names ever? "The Cat". "The Hammer". "Wildcat". "Cowboy". "The Animal". I really wish they would be creative with a number of these.

I thought he was actually pretty decent in the original Blood Runs Cold matches, because those seemed to be really planned out in advance (and as a result, were good).

Horrible wrestler, great talker. Tremendous charisma and personality. I really enjoyed him in WCW and agree with lovingway that he would have made a great manager. I remember when he was commissioner and the Jung Dragons would always try to ambush him by disguising themselves in their environment, then jumping it. Hilarious.

I will he was great on the mic, but he wasn't so good as a color commentator on Velocity. Watch John Cena's match on Velocity against Daniel Bryan, and you will see what I mean.

His stuff with Scott Norton was AWESOME! Also, that one Nitro where he picked a fight with Santa Claus was good for lolz.

I was very entertained by him during a time when there wasn't a lot of incentive for me to keep watching Nitro. Though I thought him being Commissioner was a copy of William Regal being Commissioner in WWF, but he made it work.

Though I thought him being Commissioner was a copy of William Regal being Commissioner in WWF, but he made it work. But... Miller was WCW Commissioner a good 8 months or so before Regal was in WWE. I didn't care for him at all until he got the Commissioner gig, but he was damn entertaining in that role.
