I've had a few iPods before so I might be able to help, what's up?

no matter what you read online. No software will make your ipod waterproof, or able to charge via microwave

I don't think I could live without my ipod. I mean I probably could, but I'd rather not.

I don't think I could live without my ipod. I mean I probably could, but I'd rather not. If my iPod classic goes belly-up, I'd be screwed. Apparently Apple can't get the parts anymore. Still doesn't justify why they axed something that was as close to a straight-up music player as possible without providing a viable alternative. Even a 32GB Nano would be something.

1) All the music I put on ITunes came from my desktop. Is it ok to delete the original on the desktop or will that f*** me over?
2) Is there any way to delete a song off my Ipod and not have it show up anymore, or do I have to go through Itunes? In the same matter, can I go to my friends iTunes and get some of his music or would his complete library overtake my music?
3) Is there any way to fix how sensitive my circle scroller thingy is? I hate that when I use it I overshoot by one or two selections

Not me.
I somehow put a password on mine by pure pocket accident, and haven't used it since.

Since you have an iPod with the click wheel, I don't think you can delete from the iPod. Something to do with the listing of songs or something; you couldn't delete songs straight from the iPhone either until fairly recently so I doubt an older iPod would. Also, about your second point, if you go into your iPod summary on iTunes and select "manually manage music", you don't have to sync your whole library every time and can drag songs from your friend's library and add it to your iPod without worry. 3. I don't think so. There might be an option in the settings, but I'm not sure on that one. Hope that helps.

Since iPod queries is the theme of the thread, I have one of my own:
Recently, when adding songs and/or albums to my iPod, it'll put the wrong album artwork up constantly. The funniest example I have of this is how Slayer's Reign in Blood has The Essential Hall and Oates as its album artwork on my iPod. I've restored the iPod to factory settings and it fixes it for a while, then it reverts back to screwing the artwork up.
Sorry to hijack the thread, this just seemed like an appropriate place to ask.

You can manually change album art so you don't have to deal with that. Right click and go to the Song Info (I think, whatever's the top one) of that song and click on the pic, or the square where the pic is and you can use one you've already saved on your comp instead.

I had that with Weezer, their first album has the Green Album's artwork.

Spoken from someone who has done this on accident.
