But that's the same with literally everything. If you buy a car from the dealer who 6 months later knocks $400 off the same make to new customers he doesn't mail you a cheque for the difference. Ditto the gimmicks various cell phone operators or TV companies do for new customers. There's no obligation or logic behind offering everyone everything every new customer gets. Some people would have joined without any trial at all. Should WWE have compensated them a week for missing out on the free week others had and now an additional three weeks to make up to the month?

The important thing here that people are overlooking is ... that I got my free month because I signed up yesterday.

You got a week free when you first signed up. That week was largely inaccessible, the videos almost never worked for me on the PS3. It wasn't until the end of the week that I was able to get anything to play all the way through. I'm not trying to sound sour, as I've been pleased with the Network so far, it's just a little disheartening to hear of all the ways WWE is trying for new subscribers, and taking their faithful customers for granted. Meanwhile us plebs in the UK have had to wait 9 months since you got it before we could get it and we paid all the extra PPV money. I'd say you still got a better deal.

Yeah, screw the people who have been signed up since the start. As someone elsewhere said, is it really different to Netflix offering free month trials? Not really. Eh, I'm not really complaining. I want the network to be a success, so anything that goes towards end that I fully support.

Ditto the gimmicks various cell phone operators or TV companies do for new customers. You know, you've probably hit my issue with this right on the head. I went back and forth with Verizon when re-upping my cable and Internet, same deal - I couldn't get the promotional discount because it was for new customers only. I guess I didn't realize I'm still a little sore about that But I agree with ihateeverything, as bad as anyone may think they are handling it in the states, it's been so much worse for the UK.
