I can sit through about any lame horror movie, but geesh. What a stinker.

It literally feels like he was forced to make it due to contract stipulations and decided "Screw this, I'll sink this ship RIGHT NOW!"

As someone who stopped at the first one, I'm not sure how it could be worse than that.

I enjoyed it. I have no complaints. This thread, is it semi-annual now? I think we just did this last spring

And it will be repeated until the END OF TIME ITSELF.
Seriously - the film is that bloody bad. I'd rather watch Funny Games. And I hate that pile of crap.

The first one is the worst. The second one is worserest.
The fact that Rob Zombie is allowed to do anything is the worst of all though.

It's bad, It's REALLY bad.......But it's not "Movie 43".
I'd watch both Zombie Halloweens back to back than that affront to the Movie business

I always thought Halloween was the wrong movie for Rob Zombie to be remaking. Totally not his style of horror.

He entirely missed everything that made the series what it was. A total betrayal of concept and an absolute failure at every level.

I think both of his Halloween movies are absolutely abysmal.

Yeah the Halloween remakes aren't his shining moment, but I enjoyed the 1K corpses flicks and Lords of Salem is a nice little underrated nugget. (No not a nugget of shit)

I always thought Halloween was the wrong movie for Rob Zombie to be remaking. Totally not his style of horror. Yea the guy always wants to remake Texas Chainsaw Massacre, that's all he talks about when he talks about horror movies. So they gave him Halloween, lo and behold Michael Mayers had a mask made of people's skin. If he remade the Blob, it would be a Family of Psycho Hilbillies chasing their new born called "The Blob". He should stick to stuff closer to his sensibilities. Although the Philadelphia Flyers movie he was attached to had me interested.

(No not a nugget of shit) Lords of Salem was pretty surprising, he toned everything down and he managed to somehow create tension and having real people talking. Although the ending sucked.

He is? It's been so long since I've watched it I forgot about it. But is he really?

I love The Devil's Rejects. Probably one of my favorite Rob Zombie films. I have yet to see Lords of Salem. If the original Halloween didn't exist then both films would've most likely been amazing slasher films.
With that said on that perspective. I appreciate his attempt to do something different with the Halloween mythology, by simply adding his own touch to the story it made it unique, high octane, and memorable in my opinion. While Halloween 2 wasn't the best offering, you can't tell me the beginning flashback wasn't masterfully directed, intense, and the highlight of the film. If he had maintained that style then it's possible the film would've been a lot better.

I recently watched all 10 of the Halloween films, and I disagree. It wasn't my favourite or anything, but I wouldn't call it bad at all.

I admit it is awful, but the franchise wasn't doing to well before that. How come we don't have posts about how awful Halloween Resurrection is? That is THE worst one in my book.
