So if you could afford Josh Mathews, why did you fire Todd Keneley?! 'Cause he's an Ex WWE guy, and if there's one thing TNA will always buy, it's ex WWE guys.

Can't have Kennely cause he was good. And this is TNA, Dixie's pet project. As long as you're gonna have her running a promotion, you're gonna get stupid shit like this.

Well after 2 weeks with nothing due to moving to the middle of nowhere I come back to find out that TNA got themselves a deal.
Well that's good for them, I haven't gotten through the whole thread just the first post and the updates on it. Any other major announcements concerning talent that someone can sum up for me please. Staying away from any wrestling sites really due to the fact I got 2 weeks of wrestling to catch up on and don't want to get spoiled.

Just that Destination America has been meeting with TNA about ideas for the relaunch. One thing being suggested is a hard reboot. Josh Matthews has been hired to become the lead announcer and to re-do TNA's website. TNA will not be touring regularly right now until they get their feet under, but they will tape some shows in the midwest. Destination America will give TNA other opportunities besides just 2 hours of Impact a week. TNA is currently looking for new talent for the show.

If they want extra programming, how about putting shows on a Saturday or Sunday night? This will be their themed shows, as opposed to doing them on Thursdays, get a 2.5 hour block on Saturday or Sunday...half hour preshow followed by the show itself. This would take the place of the PPVs that they don't really run anymore.

How about a show with zero commentary whatsoever while we're at it? Do a show like they used to do early CHIKARA videos, with "pop-up" facts instead of commentary?

I'm really curious to know why on earth they think they need more shows when the one they have isn't drawing in the first place, has to be taped months at a time to save money, and is always an all-hands-on-deck affair because of how depleted the roster is.

They could finally do that "Knockouts Only" show that was floated around a while back. If they hire some more indie talent and do an hour show, that might be interesting. Provided its not Wrestlicious style or anything.

Why not take it back to when WCW was doing Saturday and Sunday hour long shows? They could still do a Thursday show and maybe something on Saturday. A place to bring in young talent and give them room to grow in.

Not to mention they have no place to do shows, are taping stuff nearly three months in advance and will be draining both the crowds and the roster by doing it. They could've actually had a second show years ago if they hadn't burnt through all the money they had with needless spending

From the Impact site - "Destination America welcomes IMPACT WRESTLING with a marathon on Wednesday, January 7 from 9 AM-9 PM ET, looking back at the biggest moments and most heated rivalries, leading into the special live broadcast from 9-11 PM ET. "
Not stated, but I suspect accurate nonetheless - "Unfortunately, since TNA doesn't actually own any of it's past footage, all rights now belonging to Spike, the 9-9 marathon will consist of the two hour live footage, which we taped in October, lots of edited highlights of same, and (approximately) seven and a half hours of Kurt Angle doing moonsaults off of stuff."
