They'll still be dead within a few months. According to the ever reliable wiki Spike reaches approximately 99 million homes and Destination America reaches 59 million. Room for growth is not great and I can't imagine that they're getting anywhere near the money and support that Spike was giving them. Unless Janice has lost her mind and is pouring money into TNA again it's just going to limp along with a bunch of no names until someone mercy kills it. Sinclair reaches about 43 million homes so TNA will still reach more people than Sinclair with this deal. I'm not positive on the 43 number, but I found through a quick search that there are 115.6 million TV viewing homes in the United States. Sinclair itself says they reach 37.5 percent of all US TV viewing homes. So you do the match and the number is about 43 million. So TNA could still be number two in terms of viewers? Better yet, 43 and 59 aren't worlds apart. It is very unlikely, but perhaps this could turn into some kind of ratings war between TNA and ROH which could be fun.

Look at the post further up this page for a better description, but no the Sinclair affiliates have a higher penetration then DA does. And no there won't be a ratings war between the 2. It's impossible to with ROH in syndication and showing at different times. The 90s are dead. Ratings are used and broken down alot more than that monday night wars raw number crap.

At this point, does it really matter? They go from a second tier cable network to a fringe network that barely exists. If you think the budget was getting cut before, wait until they get their checks for Destination America. Screw Gunner vs Shaw for the TNA World title, TNA may not be able to afford even those dudes with the new deal. Plus every time you hear about TNA getting a new tv deal, the channels keep getting more and more downgraded. I'm waiting for them to announce they are negotiating with METV. The next step is being sponsored by Noah's Arcade.

This is most likely a case of the body living on long after the spirit has quit.

Being on Destination America is sort of like living only due to life support. Yeah, you're alive, but what kind of life is it really?

So two questions: 1. Does the number of homes that Destination America reach indicate subscribed or offered? What I am getting at is unless it is all subscribed, Sinclair and ROH could easily be in more homes than TNA. For example, on DISH, DA is in the Top 250 package which is the second highest tier so do they count ALL DISH subscribers (which is what I am guessing) or just people with DISH Top 250?
2. Can anyone find out the availability of MavTV? I am curious TNA's new home compared to CWFH's TV home.

I have to pay for the premiere package for Destination America which I only do so for the NFL Redzone Channel.

Isn't Destination America the channel where all of it's shows are about Alaska? Is TNA moving to Alaska? Dixe Carter and Sara Palin, a dream team if there ever was one!
