Pillman's bizarre promo live on the Network?
Well...that's interesting. And it's one I quote a lot too, so I'd recommend watching Cyberslam '96 for the first 25 minutes for that if you've not seen it.

Figured they wouldn't add much new this month with the whole Free thing. Looking forward to watching more episodes of ECW Hardcore TV.

ECW Original and current TNA announcer Taz tweeted the following about ECW Week on the Network: "@heymanhustle @joeystyles @wwenetwork I guess for a movement/company that SO MANY bashed, ripped & laughed at...still is relevant. 2 Funny." Heyman responded: "@officialtaz HUGE difference between "relevant" and "exploited," which I'll be happy to explain Monday night. @joeystyles @wwenetwork wwe"

Hasn't Taz been one of the ones bashing the innumerable ECW revivals?

Hasn't Taz been one of the ones bashing the innumerable ECW revivals? Yes, he has. That doesn't mean he can't be proud of what he accomplished in the past and point out to the haters in the business that were down on what ECW influenced.

Ah, ECW. The company where wrestlers spit in women's faces and called them whores.
What a company.

I'll never forget that time Stone Cold spit in that ladies' face right before the match where Triple H cut open an underage kid. I believe that was In Your House: f*** You, Slut.

WWE Network celebrates a company that frequently had financial problems and poor management. Hmm.

Keep stomping on that dead horse, wrestling.

Keep stomping on that dead horse, wrestling. By putting up old episodes of a wrestling show, and having a 45-60 min special talking about some of those episodes, on a 100% WRESTLING based on-demand service where one of the major selling points is access to old episodes of wrestling shows? Ya, sure, that makes sense

Just wait until the inevitable hype video about this show with the announcers essentially saying: "we know that you internet nerds love you some ECW, so buy, buy, buy. $9.99! No commitment!"

Just wait until the inevitable hype video about this show with the announcers essentially saying: "we know that you internet nerds love you some ECW, so buy, buy, buy. $9.99! No commitment!" But it's hard to really fault them on a very legitimate reason to focus marketing on ECW because of how big a selling feature the the classic wrestling libraries are, and this specific show is one people have been asking about as no new episodes have been uploaded in months. It makes sense to run a special on the network. I 100% expect them to do something similar when they drop the next batch of Nitro episodes, and I can't imagine ANYONE saying WCW was being exploited 10+ years later in that instance. Now, if at 930pm tomorrow, they trot Balls Mahoney and and Tommy Dreamer and have some shitty Extreme Rules match then I will gladly eat my words, and agree that they exploiting. Again. Like a cheap TNA imitation (couldn't resist :-P) Not quite sure why I'm so hung up on this......

If anything, they would trot Joey Mercury out of the woodwork for a match!
