I'm pretty sure it was a Ted Dibiase, with Hulk Hogan coming right after that.
But neither one of them were my top faces when I made my action figures wrestle as a kid. Hogan was the Sheamus to Optimus Prime's Cena.

These two. Hogan's shredded abs are highly dubious.

Wolfpac Randy Savage and Scott Hall, including a steel chair and breakable table. I'd had them maybe two weeks until someone at school broke Hall's leg on the day you could bring a toy into school.

For my 8th birthday, I received 3 Hasbro figures: Hulk Hogan, Jake Roberts, and Rick Rude. Pretty awesome birthday.

I got a Hulk Hogan doll for Christmas when I was about 4. Does that count?

Remco AWA guys, Rick Martel vs. Baron Von Raschke two-pack. (Funny thing was that Martel's title resembled the '10 Pounds Of Gold" NWA belt than the prison-made AWA version.) This was on the heels of buying my dad the Rocky figures.
First LJN guys we got were Junkyard Dog and Iron Sheik. I miss those days where every Saturday, you'd go to a different retail store to see who was in.

Not sure why. My mom got it for me. She saw them at the store, knew I liked wrestling and probably just picked one. But I was a big Demolition fan so it was all good. Then I got to go back the next day and get another one that I picked out myself and I got.... I'm assuming that I got this because I wanted the scissors. So TheCrusher Wrestling Federation was an endless Smash vs. "Brutus 'the Barber" Beefcake rivalry. Main Event anywhere in the country.

Kind of funny because Smash and Beefcake were my #3 and #4 Hasbro figures. My first two were Hogan and Savage, so I had a lot of Hogan/Beefcake vs. Savage/Smash matches, also main events anywhere in the country.

My first figure was LJN Greg Valentine/Beefcake two pack with Tag titles and the ring, too for my birthday. Three months later, it was a veritable WWF LJN fest as Christmas rolled around and I received Hogan, Bulldogs, Steamboat, Sheik, Krishner, Savage, Kamala, Mr. Wonderful, Snuka, Mean Gene, Bundy, Heenan, Jimmy Hart, Hart Foundation, Tito Santana(who, with Steamboat were my tag champions for 4 years), Piper, Steele, Elizabeth (who I made do weird stuff to using Kamala as her stud...don't ask), Andre The Giant, Big John Studd, Hillbilly Jim and JYD.
My folks went WAY above and beyond for me. I still have some of them.
