EW.com just posted an article on this with an interview with the producer. I stumbled on it while reading recaps for other shows, so I finally took the opportunity to watch it. And it is so silly and stupid, which is why it's hilarious. Obviously, not everyone will like it. Thing is, not everything needs to be dissected and taken apart to find some sort of message or deep meaning. This was done as a joke with no real point other than to entertain people, and that's what I love about it. The fact that something so stupid has gone viral makes me even more happy. That EW article is great - popwatch.ew.com/2014/11/07/adult-swim-too-many-cooks/

One that I like that wasn't on that list was that the killer was in the painting behind the first woman he kills.

1 minute in, I got what they were doing. Then the next minute happened, and I was too busy laughing to understand why I thought I could predict this genius.

For what it's worth, I'm planning on using this GIF on a routine basis:

Also, the music that starts at 10:49 is from The Brak Show. It was even the house from the show. I loved that it was basically 10 minutes of surealness to a 10 second punchline. And it makes you think, how many episodes of this show would it take to accomplish anything at all?

So the show references I got were Family Matters Full House Roseanne Alf T.J Hooker (I think) Dynasty Wonder Woman Law and Order The Brady Bunch G.I. Joe for that animated sequence, and possibly Battlestar Galactica (or Star Trek) for the space sequence. I think there might have been a smidge of M.A.S.K. in that animated sequence as well. Also, Lars von Trier is a known entity- he's a Danish director and screenwriter whose best known work is Melancholia with Kirsten Dunst.

It starts out not too bad then it just gets more and more insane. It's like a twisted avalanche of greatness.
