His mic skills are great. I don't care what anyone says. I think people here would be likely to agree, if for no other reason than Big Show groin kicks. That's the main reason. Just the way he delivers the lines is great.

I still think that superkick should be his finisher and not the camel clutch.

I still think that superkick should be his finisher and not the camel clutch. I like the Accolade more than I used to, since he really looks like he wrenches them with it, but I am sure he'll likely do that superkick and his uranage thing more whenever he eventually probably is a face.

I enjoy how he always starts his promos by addressing the person he's feuding with then a brief pause. AKA "Big Showwww..... I'm kicking dat GROIN tonight!"
"Sheamuuuusss... I'm gonna floss my teeth with your US TITLE!"
And hopefully soon... "John Cenaaaa.... you will be biggest hypocrite because everyone ALWAYS give up in the ACCOLADE!"

As it's been said before, there's no reason other than outright blind jingoism to be hostile to Rusev.
He wins cleanly, backs up what he says, and his manager's assertions about America are often shared by Americans themselves.
He's considerably less douchey than the guy and supposed face he beat for the title.

I still think that superkick should be his finisher and not the camel clutch. I actually liked it more when he slapped it on and looked bored out of his mind. The accolade was really just "eh, I kicked the hell out of you, and now I use you for a chair."

Oh, they're great, but I mean by the usual standards, if you can't snark or deliver soliloquies, people complain. I like the Accolade though. Superkick's him finishing you, but he asserts his dominance with the Accolade. I think the fact that he backs his shit up is great though. Heels that are right are the best ones.

I've always liked him but right now he's one of my most-anticipated parts of WWE. Lana has really served her purpose in getting the attention and doing the talking for him but I enjoy his mic skills. One of my favourites. I'm worried about what will happen to him when he does eventually lose (at the hands of Ryback, hopefully!)

I really like him and Lana too; though I am ready for the gimmick to evolve a bit.

I didn't like him at first but dude just gets noticeably better every week that I became a fan. He really reminds me of Umaga one of my favorites. Another big guy 8 years later gets an outdated 80's gimmick without much fanfare but fully embraces his gimmick and gets noticeably better every week that he wins me over and becomes one of my favorites. I want Rusev to threaten more people by kicking them in the groin though.

If they are playing the long game and hoping to at some point turn Rusev into a mega face, well they're on the right track. People are nuts for the guy. I don't want to bring up The Rock, but I just did.

I don't want to bring up The Rock, but I just did. I'm perfectly okay with Rusev becoming a modern day Nikita Koloff. That'd rule. I actually have Rusev as a face in my Universe in 2K14, just kind of have him wreck everything in his path. Recently suffered his first straight loss - if 2K14's on the money then the man who will end Rusev's undefeated streak will be... {Spoiler}You got it, Chris Benoit.

I want to see them keep building him up and have him be the one to beat Lesnar at Mania. And no, I'm not kidding. Have Rusev win the Rumble and Lesnar destroy Cena again. Night after the Rumble Lesnar comes out and is seemingly treated as the face in the feud.

I've been a fan of his since his NXT days, loved the moveset he had where he'd look so brutal that it wasn't graceful, but he wouldn't mess up. His super kick typically ends with him on the ground, and it makes it look that much more devastating compared to what HBK/Usos/Ziggler do, he hits so hard he knocks himself down. And had forgotten his fall away slam into a Samoan drop that he used to do until he kinda did it to Sheamus on Monday. And I've said before, the stomp to the back before locking in the accolade is such a nice touch to that move.

I think at this point he could turn face down the road without becoming a joke. He's getting better at improvising in the ring and is really committed to the gimmick, and as the rises of guys like Bryan and Wyatt showed, marks and casual fans know talent when they see it too. Turning him face is easy. They just have to do the same thing as Ivan Drago where he says "I fight for me now". I enjoy Rusev in the ring. I like the destructive hoss characters anyway, but considering that he's way better in the ring than a lot of hosses in the past is even better. If they are playing the long game and hoping to at some point turn Rusev into a mega face, well they're on the right track. People are nuts for the guy. I don't want to bring up The Rock, but I just did. I'm perfectly okay with Rusev becoming a modern day Nikita Koloff. That'd rule. Recently suffered his first straight loss - if 2K14's on the money then the man who will end Rusev's undefeated streak will be... {Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler}You got it, Chris Benoit. Rusev is my WWE Champion in Universe mode right now. I had him hold onto the Money In The Bank until Wrestlemania, where he ended Daniel Bryan's year long reign from one Mania to the next.

They would never do this but there is such an easy way to cement him as THE heel in the company: Have Cena tap to The Accolade.
