The man I don't care about debuting on the show I stopped watching. TNA in a nutshell.

I wrote a little piece about Del Rio's future when he first left WWE and mentioned I'd most like to see him in NJPW. His matches with Okada, Tanahashi and Styles could be AMAZING. Sorry to ruin that dream but as long as ADR is with AAA, he won't step foot into in a New Japan ring. NJPW was a decades long working relationship with CMLL, AAA's blood rival. So unless Alberto jumps ship to CMLL, he's off limits. I never said I expected it to happen. Far from it. Doesn't mean they wouldn't be exciting matches.

If a former WWE guy appears on a channel almost no one gets, does he make a sound?

My hope is that he will be smart enough to not make TNA a focus of his career. It's a dead end. He'd be better off trying to build a brand with Lucha Underground than stuck with a sinking ship like them.

He's actually not the worst possible signing for TNA. The guy is solid in the ring and he has international appeal. But given his obligations to other promotions, I don't think I they can keep him around long enough to do anything meaningful. But he could at least be a good contact to open some talent exchanges in Mexico. But this is TNA, so they probably won't do that.

So will he be a big deal in TNA fairly quick? Well yes if he actually shows up on TNA TV I would expect him to win the title in his first match. To an astounding rating of .45!
