just a random thought, but what do you consider to be the defination of "overrated" I'm pretty sure it means "a lot of people like it, but I don't". Is that all that it means? also, if you'd like give an example

I don't like the term "overrated". To me, it sounds like someone is saying that is has no business being so well liked in the first place. If you don't like something, fine, but don't go telling me I'm being overexcited about something.

I always thought of it as meaning that you don't think something (or someone) is as good as everybody else says.
Example: A lot of people think CM Punk is a great wrestler, while others think he's overrated.
