I would hope that pretty much any major corporation has a social media policy at this point. If not, they are way behind the times.
That being said, I'm a firm believer in anonymity on the internet. The rise of Facebook baffles me to a degree, especially with their draconian user agreement.

And on the subject of the value of not having your real name on Twitter:
An anti-Gamergate coder put together a blacklist of people on twitter, which got labelled as the worst harassers on the internet. All you had to do to end up on this list was follow 2 people they decided were problematic. This harasser list was over 10,000 people. Imagine your employer seeing you on that, lol.
The list was absolutely ridiculous by the way. Many of the accounts hadn't even sent a single tweet, and are just Twitter readers. A number of anti-GGers were listed, just for reading opposing viewpoints. KFC is apparently a leading harasser of women on the internet.
There are numerous people in gamergate who've had their jobs and/or family called and harassed without committing a single act of hate or harassment. Using your real name on stuff makes it so easy to get doxxed, so I guess you better not make anyone mad on the internet ever by having opinions, religious beliefs, political beliefs, or even just beating someone at a game.
It'd be great to be able to stand by your opinions and be able to practice free speech openly on the internet, but there are definitely possible repercussions unless you aren't really saying anything of value(by which I mean, it's pretty pointless to say stuff that everyone agrees with. Like saying 'I am against the Holocaust'. Well sure, who isn't, unless you're posting on some kind of neonazi forum I guess?).

I don't. I've even had friends I've had for awhile start to treat me weird when they realize I don't have my real name listed or many pics uploaded. Sorry, not sorry.

I don't post much on Twitter, so I'm not too worried about that. My Facebook is pretty locked down so friends can only see what I post, unless its' on a news page. Then I keep nice and respectful.
