Because your celebrity status can help you get away with it? Hell, Woody Allen has been an alleged molester for decades, and still has had a storied and beloved career. Plus, in general rape is way more a power/control thing than it is about sex in and of itself. It's not about a guy having access to sex easily or not. Exactly.

I really question the validity of all the rapes occurring more than 20 years ago. Sorry, first person came out to write her memoirs, and several of these other allegations are from people who would like to be part of the pile (see Janice Dickinson). If they are true, then something should be done. But I find it very suspicious that these allegations are being done with cases where nothing can really be done other than who you believe and when money is involved, you always sadly have to be suspicious. From what I heard Cosby was able to hide it Well of course that is going to be said or you look like a fool. You also have to remember (and what has been lost on this whole thing) was that in 1997, a woman claiming to be his daughter from an old affair (she wasn't really) tried to extort him for $40 million.

In America you're innocent until proven guilty. Not saying he is or isn't but I was reading one women's claim about an incident which happened in 1969. Dunno what the hell you can do to prove that just bringing it up now.

I really don't want to believe it's true, and at first I tried to believe it wasn't. Now it's becoming harder to see him as innocent. Personally, I know one of the reasons I had trouble believing it is because he's someone I liked. The more I hear, though, the more I'm starting to think that this guy I loved may be a monster.
The Janice Dickinson allegation shouldn't be blown off. Howard Stern replayed an interview she did years ago with them. In that interview, she said that her lawyers made her take something about Cosby out of her book but added that he wasn't a nice guy. She implied there was more, but didn't say what at the time.

It's an incredibly f***ed up situation that I doubt can ever be truly resolved (unless he outright confesses) one way or the other. Still not sure how to take it, he's gonna take the fallout out, even if he's innocent he's unlikely to work again. If he's guilty, then he's unlikely to ever see real punishment. It's f***ed

Dunno bout Cosby but there's a rumor that Morgan Freeman is a pedo.
We don't know the personal lifes of those people , that's the way it is.

What hurts my head is all these people saying its suspicious that some of these women waited so long to come forward. Look at the women involved. Aspiring actress. Playboy Bunny. Aspiring model/actress. Want your career to be torpedoed before it begins? Go ahead...say something. That's why it took so long.

Well if Cosby is indeed guilty then the question must be asked that if there is any old man in the entertainment industry who isn't a suck c*** f*** sexual deviant of sorts.

The allegations could be true, but nothing can be done about it now. He can't be charged with anything as far as I'm aware, because the time period to do it has expired. So in the absence of any possibility of a legal means of addressing the accusations, I don't see any gain in the media hounding the guy in the way he has been. You can't persecute a guy on accusation. He has the right to a presumption of innocence.

Yeah, I think it's more likely Cosby did that shit. It's much more likely than thinking over a dozen women are in on some conspiracy to torpedo his image in the public eye.

Yeah, he's probably a serial rapist. It's a shame that he'll more or less get away with it thanks to him not really needing to work ever again and statute of limitations on rape charges.
What is it with warm, fatherly actors and comedians turning out to be complete scumbags lately?

I just can't believe that this whole thing has been brought back to light because of a meme generator. If this is true, if he raped anyone, let alone 21 women, then he deserves to lose everything and to be locked in prison for the rest of his life. More to it than just the meme thing gone horribly awry. Hannibal Burress's set in Philly and the whole Jian Ghomeshi situation had a lot to do with it, too.

It really pains me to admit it, but I'm of the belief that it's more than likely true. It's a shitty situation no matter how you slice it. Either Bill did something, and someone I looked up to and loved growing up is a f***ing rapist, or an innocent man in his twilight years just suffered a brutal character assassination that completely overshadows his much-beloved body of work and he'll never be able to bounce back from it.

The only thing I don't get about the "it's a coordinated effort to destroy his reputation!" line of thinking: why would they wait until now to do it? He has a legacy as one of the real trailblazers in comedy, but otherwise he's pretty irrelevant in today's entertainment industry. If it was a coordinated effort to do maximum damage, they would've pulled this during his career's prime in the 80's or even the 90's, which was past his prime but he was still pretty relevant.
Besides, the way he's been handling the accusations is real sleazy and they don't seem like the actions of someone who is innocent of any wrongdoing.

He had a few tours, a few specials, and his new sitcom on the way. So, it'd be the perfect time actually.

But the one-two punch of the Hannibal Buress joke and the meme thing is really what opened it up. It's not really that 12 or so women just up and started accusing Cosby of rape. The discussion started without them and then they piled on. So I wouldn't say it's a calculated thing. That's still not to say Cosby's guilty but it is really tough to give him the benefit of the doubt right now.

Bonet's account has since been deleted This makes me think Cosby had her offed. Guess he's never heard of a guy's name who's Robert Wolf.

The Jimmy Savile/Rolf Harris cases should have opened everyone's eyes that things like this are very possible and even likely. There's probably a ton of celebrities who have done stuff like this and we don't know about it.
Whether he's innocent or guilty (more likely the latter), I hope Cosby gets what's coming to him.

I could give a damn if it's true or not but on the other end of the spectrum their careers may have never amounted to s**t or they pissed it all away on drugs and booze and 30 to 40 years later their social security has run out and they need cash.
