Begins and ends with Scrappy-Doo. At least he's not accused of being an ethnic stereotype (Jar Jar Binks) or an author's self-insert character (Wesley Crusher). If you hate Scrappy-Doo, then you also hate Scooby-Dum, Scooby-Dee, or the various relatives of the Scooby Gang. This. Now Scrappy isn't one of the greatest cartoon characters of all time or anything, but if you lived through the Internet in the '90s, you'd think he was a mass murderer akin to Hitler. Also, he did not kill the franchise. Yes he killed the original format (including taking most of Mystery Inc. with it) but it lasted in various series for 7 years after his introduction. I am convinced that the same teens/young adults who were on the Net back then now work for Warner Bros., given the burial of Scrappy to the point where he has been given the Benoit treatment, as his series won't be released in full, nor is he mentioned on the cases of the DVDs of shows/movies he does appear on. I loathed Scrappy even as a kid. And it was really hard for me to hate a cartoon character back then. I only vaguely remember Scooby Dum, but I have no use for him. I can't remember Scrappy Dee at all, which shows what an impact that character must have made on me.

She's the John Cena of music. Calculated push to turn her into an underdog megastar that comes across as very fake. And much like Cena, she's starting to roll with the punches and she's making music of better quality now. That is entirely up for debate. For me, she went from bad to worse based on what little I've heard.

Looking back, I didn't mind the 1979 series, which shows how the change of the complete package was more jarring to me (no Fred, Daphne, and Velma; comedy shorts with real monsters; I also preferred Lennie Weinrib as Scrappy to Don Messick...) than just one character. I just think it was ridiculous how the hate for Scrappy got blown out of proportion to the point, like I said, where he's treated like Chris Benoit. On SO many levels. Yeah Scooby-Dee was a female Scooby seen on like one episode. There was a Ruby-Doo too. Wanna see Scrappy x 10000? Watch the New Adventures of Batman and see all of Bat-Mite's scenes.

Shinji from NGE. I will admit that when I first watched the show in 2001 I was Shinji hater as I thought he was a whinny pussy. But re-watching the show several years made me change my mind and made me think why do so many people hate him. But the whole him being a whinny pussy has been grossly over-exaggerated and it does give credence to theory that a lot of fanboys hate him because they have more in common with him than they would like to admit. As he is pretty much a realistic deception of how a normal teenager would respond to being forced with the responsibility of saving the world from extinction by fighting a unknown race of aliens would act how badly it would mess them up both mentality and physical. Evangelion started getting popular in the US in the wake of the Dragon Ball Z craze, so I don't think a lot of American fans (after watching more traditionally badass heroes like Goku and/or Vegeta) knew how to respond to Shinji. They weren't accustomed to a lead character having a realistic reaction to being forced to fight giant monsters.

What's keeping Warner Bros. from releasing any Scooby-Doo shows featuring Scrappy on DVD/Blu-Ray? It's not like how they now treat the shows the same way Lucasfilm treats "The Star Wars Holiday Special" (i.e., the Old Shame treatment).

Maybe it's just me but hipsters. I know a few of them and they are really cool people to talk to and have very interesting personalities. The stereotypical hipsters I know are young and I attribute their behavior to youth more than anything.

Coming from another thread, I have to add Batman Arkham Origins. It was by no means a bad game but It had the unfortunate task of having to follow Arkham City. The whole "Joker is the main villian" argument is nitpicky, because the timeline is the first years of Batman's career and in a good majority of the early stories, the Joker was his main nemesis. I like the variety with Deathstroke, Firefly, and Black Mask.

Pizza chains like Dominos or Pizza Hut. People talk about their pizza as if it's toxic sludge that will give you three day non-stop explosive diarrhea just by looking at it.

To be fair, Domino's had a campaign within the last couple of years that basically amounted to: "Our Pizza used to be terrible, but we fixed it"

Coming from another thread, I have to add Batman Arkham Origins. Yeah, to me it felt like more of the same but that's not a bad thing... {Spoiler}{Spoiler}I do think surprise it's really Joker deflated some of the story and if they actually stuck with Black Mask as the villain I would probably like it more, but I still like the game

It's not like how they now treat the shows the same way Lucasfilm treats "The Star Wars Holiday Special" (i.e., the Old Shame treatment). Well with Jar Jar, we all know George Lucas just didn't care what we think. I guess Wesley's OK with Paramount because he isn't music related, which is the only grounds for editing under the CBS (Constantly Butchering Shows) regime. They do have eps. with Scrappy on as bonuses on the DVDs of Scooby movie releases, but of course don't advertise that he is in them. And when they did release series sets (13 Ghosts) and the '80s movies that Scrappy appeared in, they usually take care not to mention him at all on the case's cover or back. And of course there have been no DVD release for the 1979 series (his debut); nor 1982, 1983, or 1984; nor has Richie Rich/Scooby-Doo (a rare case where they did mention Scrappy's name on the description) been finished.
