Can't they give at least one black guy an actual good gimmick for once?

If it ends up working out for them and getting them more over, great. I just don't see this thing going far, it looks horrible,IMO.

With all the recent events happening in the US, did some people really expect the WWE to portray angry black activists??
Happy go lucky dancing black guys are always fun to watch Maggle! AH AH AH

No one's gonna f***ing talk about their chemistry and how great they are together in the ring? Okay I don't think anyone's gonna deny they aren't terrific together, it's just...I kinda know where this is going. And I don't think it's going to end well. Why can't they just be...normal together. The quasi-religious gimmick just doesn't play well for me, maybe that's just me.

That's the whole problem, though- saying something's going to suck because you JUST KNOW the WWE's going to ruin it is a self-fulfilling prophecy- if you think they're great together, and you won't buy in because they're just going to be ruined by WWE anyway, THAT'S the only way it'll really be ruined.

Can't they give at least one black guy an actual good gimmick for once? They barely give the White guys those.

So Kofi hasn't changed his character one bit, and - even worse - Big E and Woods have caught it.

The vignettes reminded me of a Madea movie, Tyler Perry Presents: The New Day. It really just seems like they threw them together because they didn't want to release them yet. If WWE had a midcard worth anything, there might be some interest in it, but it's a foregone conclusion that these guys aren't going anywhere. Shoot, I mentioned that a week or two ago. I did not recognize Kofi doing the James Brown "put the cape over the tired man" thing, and it was utterly long and dull. I thought it was a commercial for a new Tyler Perry movie. I'm thinking, "Sheesh, how long IS this commercial break?" This could work: if you bring back Shelton Benjamin and his mama.

After reading this thread, I can see why minorities say there's racism in wrestling. Just saying.

Kinda silly gimmick but I'll take happy black man over angry black man.
Since those seem to be the only gimmicks the writers are comfortable writing, cause barely anybody in entertainment can write a black character without them being the angry, hardboiled guy or some happy go lucky smiling type.

WWE and wacky black people go together like peanut butter and jelly don't they?
The fact that this happened on Smackdown with the fake pops and pyro made it so much better too. Especially loved the cuts to white people clapping. For some reason, if black people are doing something in the WWE they cut ONLY to white people, like they're endorsing that it's white friendly.

I dunno, man. It seems a little too...simple? Too cut and dried? I know WWE isn't smart, but let's face it, even they know that nobody comes to a wrestling show to hear people talk about "Positivity!" and such bullshit. I'm thinking there's more to this gimmick than meets the eye. There's something...Bo Dallas-like about all this.

Can't they give at least one black guy an actual good gimmick for once? The last one was probably crazy heel R-Truth then ruined that by making him face.

Too early to say if it will be good or bad I think but I'm not keen on the baby blue outfits.

The guys need some edge to them. There's something between angry black man mac militant and please please love us because we're happy and having a good time. They remind me of a bad stand-up comedian that you can tell doesn't have their own identity, but instead they're trying to say things they think people might find funny. There's a big difference there.
