Ran over here after seeing the news on ROH. I'm ecstatic right now. If they had been on TV before, I would have been able to keep up with Bryan and CM Punk from when they started. I hope they can blow TNA out of the water. They have a much better shot at becoming a threat to WWE than TNA. Going to be really hard to beat them in the ratings when they are the lead-in show, and the show has already been available for 3-5 days on Sinclair stations. Still hugely exciting news!

They've been growing since 2002 because they've focused on being an alternative product. The moments competitors like WCW and TNA veered off course was when they both tried to be/inadvertently became WWE Lite. ROH has consistently, for better or worse, offered something you can't get on Raw or Smackdown. While WWE's action resembles ROH more now than it did 5 or 10 years ago (especially on NXT), I don't think the best course of action would be for ROH to try to close that gap by making something more akin to WWE.

We have been asked what all this means for Samoa Joe working ROH dates. To the best of my knowledge, Joe's deal with WWE NXT allows him to work the dates. It should be interesting to see if they opt to sign him to a WWE exclusive deal in order to prevent it.

Joe's stock is so damn high right now. He is in a win win situation. He has both companies in the palm of his hand.
It's crazy how much he has reinvented himself since leaving TNA, it's like these guys are going through another renaissance of their careers and becoming so damn relevant again

Trying to be a threat is one of the reasons TNA caught the L of the century.
The best thing ROH can do is stay the course and remain a strong independent alternative to WWE

I don't mean make themselves like WWE, I mean when the time comes after they manage to gain a big enough audience that they can hopefully someday face off with RAW. We're a loooooooong way off from that happening yet, though.

That's what I mean though. Why would they face off with Raw when, even in this dream scenario, they've created a successful alternative product on their own?

Does ROH still host the episodes on their site?
Last time I watched it was the first two episodes on Sinclair, and was less than impressed, overall.
Recent developments however… I think I might want to give it another go.

Meltzer says on tonight's Observer Radio that the ROH deal with NESN is to get to the company returning to BOS and "probably run big shows there."

Shouldnt ROH have its own section on here, if TNA has one? I would say that ROH is now the 'bigger' company

Correct and remember for all TNA did, we didn't give them a section until 07-08 I think. Honestly I think there is a better shot of combining ROH, TNA, NJWP, LU and possibly Paragon if they take off with their TV deal as one Super Indie/Nationwide board before another promotion gets a board of their own.

The latest Road Rage show is great. {Spoiler}I love when a wrestling show and a live crowd are on the exact same page. Lethal refusing five more minutes because of a "Man Up" chant and then Briscoe coming in and trying to make it right for the fans was as good as it gets.

Just great stuff right there.
