Just read the TV recap for tonight's show...no idea why they are putting up another show from their NJPW/ROH crossover. They have really screwed the pooch with the TV deal...their PPV which they had been hyping for weeks was 2 weeks ago and we're gonna have to wait 3 weeks for the fallout from that show. Inexcusable IMO.

Inexcusable IMO. ROH tend to do this following PPV's where they have a 1-2 week break after the PPV before stuff from the taping airs (mainly because the first episode tends to fall either the day after, the day of or the day before the PPV itself and then they shove in an extra filler episode just so they can get their timings right working towards the next iPPV/PPV, kinda opposite to TNA in that sense). I'm just thankful this isn't the early days on Sinclair because we'd get random "Road Rage" episodes all the time and completely randomly. At least when they do that now I can understand why they're doing it and it doesn't happen as much nor as randomly.

Understandable, but you can make the argument that ROH is the #2 promotion in the US right now. And maybe the majority of their fans are online, so they "get it" but as a casual viewer or anyone who is tuning into ROH for the first time...I'd like to know what happened at Best in the World (even though I know) I'd like to see Jay Lethal come out and cut a promo with both belts. I'm so use to the next show after a PPV being the PPV fallout, that having to wait almost a month just to see what the fallout is is a bit bush league in my view. Especially in 2015. If they execs knew about the deal, they should have started scheduling it around it as such. Maybe that means moving the iPPV, who knows.

It at least beats the alternative of TNA's twilight zone schedule where they're booking aftermath shows before the actual PPV but I definitely agree that ROH's current inability to really follow up on PPV momentum is one of the more frustrating aspects of following them. If there's anything I would want to change about them right now that would be it.

Keep in mind, this episode was taped before the Destination America deal was even known about, so they can't just drop an episode that they've already given to syndicators. I'm sure the broadcast taping-to-broadcast schedule is going to be altered now that they have the Destination America deal, but their last tapings were the day after BITW.

Yeah, I think ROH deserves some leeway here. The DA deal is probably gonna force them to change some stuff around.
Now, if it's three months from now and we still got issues like this? Yeah, that's pretty goofy. But, they are still trying to work out the kinks right now with this new deal.

I'm pretty calm, it makes even less sense for TNA to tape 6 weeks of shows before their Sunday PPV. The next ROH iPPV is July 24, and they presumably taped 4-5 shows. So basically this taping cycle will run through the iPPV. Set up is a bit strange but it is what it is.

I really don't think/want NXT and ROH to run head to head.
The last time ROH and NXT had a show in New York was on Final Battle 2012, the same day as TLC 2012 and ROH just made it an afternoon event, allowing fans to attend both. Those two venues weren't even in the same borough, whereas these shows would hypothetically both be in Brooklyn.
If it has to happen, I'd hope NXT runs the afternoon show as one of the most special moments of ROH's Field of Honor was the world famous Coney Island fireworks before the main event.

I love it because it's forcing ROH to step its game up. The SBG/Cornette combined hybrid of Smokey Mountain penny-pinching terror was f***ing unacceptable.

So for being owned by a tv company, ROH's production and camera shots leave a bit to be desired

The SBG/Cornette combined hybrid of Smokey Mountain penny-pinching terror was f***ing unacceptable. It was also three years ago. You don't think ROH is already leaps-and-bounds better than it was in, say, this point of 2012?

Chaos vs. Bullet Club was the best match I've seen all year. Seriously. Amazing men, everyone involved.
