I'm a big fan of kung-fu films and other movies of asskickery where you have to read subtitles. I've seen a lot of older Jackie Chan ones, some Bruce Lee (I'm looking to see Game of Death again, I've only seen it once and just vaguely remember it), and a lot of the newer flicks (House of Flying Daggers, Kung Fu Hustle (if it counts), etc..), but it looks as if it could be a rainy weekend, and I'm in the mood for a good kung-fu fight.
Any suggestions?

I liked Hero alot. It had a great story, and some awesome fight scenes.
Apparantly Enter The Dragon is good also. I only saw it once, for about five minutes, though it really kicked ass. Bruce Lee can slap harder than Kenta Kobashi, I tell you what.

Watch Drunken Master. The first one. Then the second one. It'll change the way you look at Kung Fu n' stuff.
Fist of Legend may in fact be my favorite Martial Arts flick of all time.

I'm a fan of Sonny Chiba, myself. However, if you aren't averse to cheese-fu (my specialty!):
Death Duel of Kung Fu Chinese Super Ninja (Awesome movie)
I'm trying to find my Sonny Chiba movie with some awesome camera work, there were some really good ones.

If you REALLY want to impress people, watch Wheels on Meals. Make it a point to watch Chan vs. Urquidez.

If you REALLY want to impress people, watch Wheels on Meals. Make it a point to watch Chan vs. Urquidez. Definately. Then watch "Dragons Forever" because it's just as good. Other picks: "Ong Bak", "Rumble In The Bronx", Jackie Chan's "Police Force" and "Police Force 2" (the stories before "SuperCop"), and Sammo Hung's "Encounters of theSpooky Kind" (because it's funny). Then watch "The Killer" and "Hard-Boiled" just for the heck of it.

And if you are looking for a pro-wrestling influenced version of Bloodsport, go to Bloodsport III: It has no subtitles, but Van Damme is replaced by Daniel Bernhardt, who pays a price for stealing an ancient samurai sword when he is sent to another MMA-to-the-death competition. He shows up by surprise, and one judo competitor calls him out by using a sleeperhold on his opponent and threatening to do the same to the hero; of course Bernhardt uses a sleeperhold on the villain to conclude their match, and the bad guy sells like any WWF enhancement talent.

No dice. It's not Bloodsport if there's no Chong Li... ...or the African guy who fights on all fours and karate chops coconuts (That guy RULES!).
