What the hell was that?
Match of the year contender on Takeover, crappy 3 minute match on Raw. The champion is pinned by someone nowhere near her program on a different program that they're trying to promote. Also, she's a heel on Raw apparently.

Yeah, it was just an example of the incompetence we have come to expect from the WWE. Both of those ladies are better than most of Raw's main roster and certainly deserved more time than they were given.
Last night is a big reason why I really don't want to see Charlotte move up to the main roster. On NXT she's given time and great opponents to work with. On Raw she'll be given 3 minute matches against women that really have no business being in a ring.

I don't get how the WWE still has fans and people who defend its product.

I didn't really get a heel vibe from Charlotte, she was smiling on her way to the ring, which in WWE diva code = face.

Well they're just breaking in Charlotte for when she gets called up. She better get used to 2 minute matches and jobbing in non-title matches.
It's what's best for business in the big leagues.

You know what is WWE afraid of? What is wrong with
A) The girls trying to put on a match? B) Them getting time C) Having a Champ win a non-title match.
I never seen Charlotte in action but what I saw: she has a swagger about her and Ric's style. She had that crowd cheering for her but no, have her job while telling people to buy the network to watch her.

There is this amazing quote from Reddit. Yeah, but at least she didn't go $100,000 in debt to get there. (Her father's debt issues are another story, entirely...)

Based on Vince's opinions on women in MMA, I wouldn't be surprised if he simply doesn't believe people want to see women wrestling either.

Was on par with R-Truth beating Bo Dallas. No, Truth beating Dallas was the right call. Undefeated streaks become albatrosses after a while, and Bo losing his due to a rookie mistake with a very experienced veteran was the best, most believable way it could have ended. Bo still looked strong winning in the rematch and losing to Truth didn't harm his upward mobility at all. Plus, it gave Truth a little shine to keep him still a respectable threat in the midcard.

Here is the thinking:
-Okay, we've got the NXT special this week. Let's incorporate someone from NXT on Raw to promote the special.
-Hey! We're in the Carolinas on Monday. Let's use Charlotte!
-Okay, who's she going to work with?
-Well, she had a great match with Natalya earlier this year.
-Great! We have our match!
(Later that night...)
-Okay, you have three minutes and Natalya is going over because she's on the main roster. Go out there and show the world what you've got!

Was on par with R-Truth beating Bo Dallas. Not even close. Bo Dallas was pretty much slotted as a comedy heel by the time he lost to Truth. I doubt they would've done anything with him higher then the IC or United States title picture at best. Charlotte has the most promise and potential that a WWE women's wrestler has had in a long while. She's definitely the type of person you can center a women's division around if you really wanted to. So to have her just lose the way she did in such a nothing match in her hometown is just mindboggling. You only get one chance to make a first impression and THAT's what you decide to do with her the first time she wrestles on television? Not to mention way to make your NXT Women's Champion look like a total non-entity. Which is exactly what you want to make people care enough to see her defend her title this coming Thursday. This won't kill Charlotte, not even close, but they better plan on keeping her off of the main roster for a few more months and hope that people forget this debacle.

I like Charlotte although I don't rate her as highlight as some do around these parts.
To me her main strength is her presence, she carries herself like a champion should. Many more matches like that though and that aura will be lost.

Remember when people say that Natalyla deserves another push? Monkey paw wish granted, bitches. I don't see this as career ending/stalling as some folks do. I see it as Charlotte's unofficial introduction the mainstream crowd who will forgotten the results of this match by midnight tonight. People forget that Bo Dallas had a short, main roster run before he went back to NXT for a while and came back up. WWE treated him like that never happened and the crowd could care less about his previous stint. Same will happen with Charlotte.

This isn't going to hurt her at all. There are still people here why say a certain match results will ruin somebody's career and then 6 weeks later they forgot all about that when they cheer for that person.
Prisoners of the moment.
