STACKED. Managed to get a seated ticket, was intending for SSS16 to be my first PROGRESS London show(s) next year but if everything goes to plan my first trip to the ballroom may be a lot sooner than I think Riddle vs Ospreay and Havoc vs Scurll got me like

We have a NEW PROGRESS Champion... {Spoiler}PETE DUNNE. Tyler Bate returned and turned on Jimmy Havoc to go back with Trent Seven in order to help Dunne win the title, so Dunne is now the champion and one half of the Tag Team Champions. Also, Matt Riddle vs. Will Ospreay was INCREDIBLE yesterday.

Hopefully I can get fully caught up before Chapter 40 gets uploaded. Finally got my Chromecast to stream DemandProgress to my television. That card looks awesome.

So I'm trying to follow Progress more lately, and part of that is by following their Twitter as well. They just announced that Sebastian w/ Bill Eaver is taking on Jack Sexsmith, which raised questions.
When did Seb come back from injury? What's the story with him and Eaver? Why is he the pet weapon?
And other questions I can't think of at the moment.

And other questions I can't think of at the moment. 1: Seb returned at Chapter 38, and was back in the ring at Chapter 39. 2: Originally, Seb claimed that he had a secret about Eaver that he was threatening to blackmail him with, which cost Eaver the PROGRESS Title on Chapter 33. That part of the storyline was dropped following what happened at Chapter 36. 3: Seb threatened to sue Eaver over the injury which would have ended his career, so the alternative offered was for Eaver to work under Seb, which he's now doing reluctantly, although he's slowly starting to fall into line.

Also, we have no statute of limitations on assault here. With the video evidence of that assault, Seb could theoretically hold that over Eaver forever.

Chapter 43 results in spoilers {Spoiler} Featured Indie Results PROGRESS 01/29/17 CHAPTER 43: TROPIC THUNDERBASTARD REPORT JANUARY 30, 2017 NEWS PROGRESS PROGRESS Wrestling held “Chapter 43: Tropic Thunderbastard” on January 29th at the Electric Ballroom in Camden, London, the first show in London in 2017. 1: The London Riots (James Davis & Rob Lynch) defeated The Kings of the North (Bonesaw & Damien Corvin) – the Kings are the current Over The Top Wrestling Tag Team Champions, and are from Belfast, Northern Ireland. A funny moment came when Rob Lynch and Bonesaw challenged each other to a old fashioned duel, which was broken up quickly. The Riots got the win with the GBH (a slingshot into a Spear) on Corvin in a hard hitting match. 2: Laura Di Matteo defeated Chakara in the first round of the Natural Progression Series to determine the first PROGRESS Women’s Champion – Chakara had a good showing in her first main chapter appearance, showing good aggression against Di Matteo. Chakara hit a big DDT, but took too long to make the cover, and Di Matteo trapped her in a submission hold to get the win. 3: Jurn Simmons defeated Roy Johnson – Simmons is a former Westside Xtreme Wrestling Unified World Wrestling Champion from the Netherlands, and Johnson took part in the WWE United Kingdom Championship Tournament. There was a great split atmosphere between the two in a good contest, won by Simmons with a Piledriver. 4: South Pacific Power Trip (TK Cooper & Travis Banks) (w/Dahlia Black) defeated Ringkampf (Axel Dieter Jr. & WALTER) – a tremendous match, one of PROGRESS’ best ever tag team matches. Ringkampf became the defacto babyfaces, and it was all action with heavy chops and big suplexes, followed by some big dives and WALTER throwing Banks onto Cooper outside the ring. WALTER kicked Dahlia Black in the face and off the apron, but the SPPT isolated him, and Banks pulled Dieter Jr.’s legs and held them down for Cooper to pin him. 5: Mark Andrews won the Thunderbastard Match, defeating Marty Scurll, Trent Seven, Jack Sexsmith, Sebastian, Zack Gibson, Nathan Cruz and Dave Mastiff, to earn a future shot at the PROGRESS World Championship – Andrews and Scurll started the match. Sebastian entered 5th, but was immediately eliminated by Sexsmith, leading to Pastor William Eaver finally rebelling against Sebastian’s control, punching him. Dave Mastiff turned on his former Origin partners Nathan Cruz and Zack Gibson, embracing his status as the “King of Banter”, but Cruz and Gibson combined to eliminate him. The match came down to Andrews and Gibson, the latter working on Andrews’ arm to set up the Shankly Gates submission hold. Andrews fought through Gibson’s offence to hit the Stundog Millionaire and a Shooting Star Press to become the fourth Thunderbastard winner. 6: Jimmy Havoc defeated Pete Dunne via disqualification in a match for Dunne’s PROGRESS World Championship – the match started with Havoc thwarting interference by Trent Seven, then Havoc and Dunne took turns throwing each other into ringside chairs. Havoc hit Dunne with the Acid Rainmaker, only for Seven to pull the referee out of the ring. Havoc hit another one, and Seven ran in for the disqualification. Dunne and Seven beat on Havoc, when Mark Haskins and “Flash” Morgan Webster returned to make the save. Haskins declared that he and Webster are cleared to return to action, that Dunne is holding the title that Haskins never lost, and they are willing to join Havoc in waging war with British Strong Style. The next show is “Chapter 44: Old Man Yells At Cloud” on February 26th at the Electric Ballroom. www.pwponderings.com/2017/01/30/progress-012917-chapter-43-tropic-thunderbastard-report/Also a brand new face to face with Jack Sexsmith Big fan of the chap, he is an incredible underdog that can gain sympathy from the crowd so easily through his selling, bumping, facial expressions etc. A true success story of the projo and he has a bright bright future ahead. Met him at Chapter 42 Birmingham, a lovely chap to boot

The card for Chapter 44, "Old Man Yells at Cloud" (best title ever) is coming along nicely and they just announced a barnburner today. -Jack Sexsmith vs. Zack Gibson -Damon Moser vs. James Drake -Dahlia Black vs. Martina in a Natural Progression Series First Round Match And the main event, which I'll tag since it contains Chapter 43 spoilers, with a HUGE stipulation. {Spoiler} {Spoiler}British Strong Style (Pete Dunne, Trent Seven & Tyler Bate) vs. Jimmy Havoc, Mark Haskins & Morgan Webster -If Havoc/Haskins/Webster win, whomever scores the pin will get a "title opportunity". Sounds like it doesn't matter for what title, they can pick either the PROGRESS Championship or the tag titles according to the PROGRESS Twitter page. -If British Strong Style win, whomever takes the deciding pin off the other team will be banned from any title opportunities for the next 6 months. Therefore, they will automatically be eliminated from qualifying for the Super Strong Style 16 tournament as the winner of said tournament gets a PROGRESS Championship shot.
