I can admit that I am not the greatest at eye contact. However, I try doing it as best as I can, even though it's sometimes uncomfortable when I do it.

I tutor ESL (English as a Second Language) students at my alma mater's English Language Institute in one-on-one Sessions, so I have to make eye contact constantly. It's not something I was necessarily comfortable with but, over time, I've gotten used to it. I often work with female students from Muslim countries and the majority of them wear hijabs (veil covering) and eye contact is necessary to really get a sense of communication. After a while, you don't notice it and eye contact becomes natural (it helps that most of my students are wonderful to work with).
