All I can say is that I've had my POF account up for five years and I have never really had any luck on that site. Same with the fact that I have had my OkCupid account up for about three and a half years. I have talked to some, I have even met up with some but most of them fizzle out.
However, I noticed how OkCupid's Quickmatch feature has people clicking "like" if you like what you see. I have had women click "like" on me, but in order to know who they are, I must upgrade to A-List, but I am not sure if I want to knowing that I get charged per month of service.

Same here, I surprisingly get quite a few likes, but I really don't want to pay.

I don't mean this to sound cruel, but I doubt that many people actually like you. It's a gimmick.

If you want to talk gimmicks, look at POF's "Meet Me" feature, which I don't like using because most of the time I push "Maybe" and it turns out to be "Yes" in disguise.

This isn't the question you asked, but have you been online dating exclusively for all these years? And if so, why? No, I've actually gotten dates from real life situations instead of online. That's where all of my success in the dating world comes from. Granted, I've never gotten laid from my real life dates or a relationship, but that's where all of my dates come from. To make it make sense, I suck at both.
