I think Triple H was spot on when he said Sami was not going to be super over from the start, but would grow on the audience, into a main eventer. He's very likeable, the only issue is that Vince will very likely give him an underdog storyline, which they have a very poor track record with. On the contrary, I can see Triple H doing everything in his power to make sure Vince doesn't pull any bullshit with Zayn.

The difference between OLE! and YES! is that YES! got over in WWE. While Zayn on the indies did have OLE! get over, he's never once used it unmasked as Sami Zayn. That's 100% the audience.
Therefore, how would they look at Zayn getting massive OLE! chants when he doesn't even say OLE! and no other performers get OLE! chants?

"What's that shit on your tights? You some kind of terrorist?" Didn't someone on here once suggest he get a Muhammad Hassan gimmick? lmao. I'd love to see a new Muhammad Hassan type character, especially a guy as talented as Zayn- who actually is Arab. Maybe they can bring back Daivari to be his partner/and or manager. I would love to hear Muhammad Hassan's theme song hit at any WWE show

Even more funny due to the fact that Zayn is basically pale, ginger, Arab Ricky Steamboat.

Hell, Vince probably thinks Sami is of Celtic descent.

It was me who came up with that Hassan gimmick, but the idea was meant to be everyone finds out he's Muslim (no idea of his actual religious background) and starts shunning him but he's too Allah-damn likable to hate, so he wins people over.
Everyone then proceeded to be confused by the idea of a white Muslim, so that was that.

One thing WWE has proven over the last few years is that what worked in NXT either fails, is not given a chance, or is mangled beyond recognition on the main shows. ... Well maybe not everything. Wyatts worked. Point is, Zayn's story worked phenomenally well in NXT, but he'll have to find another way to get over on Raw/SD. I think many internet fans completely underestimate how garbage main show crowds are.

Also, Bayley can fill that role for the women's division easily. "We'll see about that."

Vince, did you hear me? I said 'fill her hole'? Geddit? Because she's a woman, and women have vaginas... or so I'm told." "*sighs* Yes, Kevin, very good.""You hear that, Paul? He said my joke was very good! He likes me better than you, nerner!"

In some ways, yes, and those ways are extremely important in WWE. Zayn is incredible at selling emotion, and he's a better promo. I will openly admit he is a better promo but I cannot say he is a better seller. He's a better bumper but I don't think he's a better seller than Bryan.

Zayn should be booked differently from Bryan. Bryan's story was being "the King of the Indies" trying to prove himself in the "big leagues". Zayn has accomplished that part already and should be brought to the main roster in a solid upper midcard spot rather than being the JTTS Bryan started as. wasnt CM Punk's also the same character , king of the indies who needs to prove himself- except Punk had a much louder mouth Not so much. Punk's character was that he was, to borrow a phrase from Enzo Amore, the "realest guy in the room", the only real-life person in a company of phony characters and put-on personalities. The only person too good to go along with WWE's silly carny act, and he was going to drive out the phonies and make you bow down to him and kiss his ass (figuratively). He was the Übermensch, everyone else was The Last Man. That's not Bryan or Zayn at all.

You know, I'm not going to lie, it would be hilarious if the story was that he actually turned out to be a brutal Jihadist, but everyone loved him anyway and let him get away with it because otherwise, he's just so likable.

Could he be? Absolutely, he's already won me over. And this is coming from a guy who thought El Generico was lame back in the day.

I haven't watched Indy wrestling in 8 years, I never saw El Generico and knew very little of his hype. But Sami Zayn has become my absolute favourite right now.
I say he can make it

Bryan is an awesome seller, probably better than Zayn. But, what I meant was that Zayn is amazing at showing emotion through his body language anf facial expressions. He's really great with that stuff. Combined with the promo skills, he really reminds me of Shawn Michaels during his second run. I guess a catch-all for this would be "acting".

Maybe Bryan is a better seller as his move list can easily be adapted to be ultra mat based while Zayn is more of a flyer so he has to "no sell" to some degree to even do his moves. Both are damn awesome though so who really cares, lol.

From a wrestler opinion, and as someone who wrestled under a mask, I was always told to sell bigger with your body language because the people can't see your face. Even though Sami isn't under a mask anymore, I think he's just used to selling that way now.
