They've been planting seeds for it on TV and in the false information being fed to meltzer for a while now.
The story going in to mania has to be the authority returning to try and take control of the company with the roster being split down the middle between Vince and Triple H's side.
If they don't do this I will be disappointed to hell.
Anyone got any ideas or opinions on how they could/should do this storyline?

Ziggler should be on the side of Vince.

Honestly, I would be wary of this- because to do a WWE Civil War well, especially with the claims, the only way it can be done is: Vince's allies (led by John Cena- who all happen to be main roster guys at best- WWE homegrowns, mostly hosses, at worst) vs. The Authority's allies (likely led by Daniel Bryan- who all happen to be NXT roster or alumni from the seasons at best, "all the smark darlings" at worst.) Either way, it would not end well.

A civil war would be booked as 9 consecutive weeks of 27 minute HHH/Steph promos followed by a dull, huge cluster of a 10-man tag match involving Kane and Big Show and nobody would care, least of all me.

People have been saying stuff about WWE working the dirtsheets for years and yet there's never been a major example of it. They just aren't that clever.

They'll probably do some variation on this storyline and no one will care. The Authority coming back just so HHH can lose again, this time at WM, doesn't exactly thrill me. At this point I'd almost rather HHH be the face trying to get rid of crazy old Vince.
The Authority was probably one of the worst WWE factions/storylines of all time, so I am amazed that they keep talking about it on TV. Seriously can Rollins please cut a promo that doesn't involve "Wah, Cena! Bring back The Authority!" as though it makes any logical sense for Cena to do this. Again, the only way it would make sense is if HHH somehow did a 180 and was good now, and Vince was a crazy authority figure on TV. Further, what's it to Rollins anyway? His career hasn't taken a drastic step back since The Authority were banished. Hell, the basic faction itself is more or less intact anyway since no one bothered to even fire Noble and Mercury, and Kane and Big Show are firmly in his corner. Rollins still has MITB. He's still "the future." So why does he care? It would be like after The Alliance split up if Rob Van Dam and Booker T cut promo after promo about wanting to be back in The Alliance.
