I'm talking more the booking of it then the list of participants.
I'd have Ziggler be the iron man of the Rumble and eventual winner despite Reigns being booked during the match as the obvious winner. Heck, even give Reigns the lucky 27 number unless that is just a little too obvious a red hearing.
Of course this could still happen with 30 men, but with 40 it makes the iron man winning even more impressive. Have Ziggler come in at one. Ziggler's not even my favorite guy on the roster or anything, but if WWE was ever going to push him, now'd be the time to do it. In my fantasy booking he also wouldn't be IC champ too, I'll mention since that muddies up the title shot a bit.
Actually, I don't even know if I'd give Ziggler the title shot. Ziggler/Lesnar doesn't really scream money match. Just Ziggler winning the Rumble seems like it would be awesome especially with the smark Philly crowd.
Oh well, I se I've rambled more than usual. What say you?

What say you? The "Smark Philly Crowd" is kind of a misconception. Most of the Philly Smarks don't bother with WWE shows anymore, and it ends up being marks from the surrounding area who go. Maybe a PPV as big as the Rumble could bring them back, but I wouldn't bet my house on it.

Any crowd is going to pop for a Ziggler win at this point, he isn't like Cesaro last year where there was an obvious disconnect between "smark" fans and everyone else.

#1. CP Munk
#2. Scotty Goldman (but it's just some random Jewish guy, like over-the-top Jewish)
#3. Ryback who eliminates both with ease

#40 - CM PUNK RETURNS!
*Ryback then hits him with a Meathook, does "Feed Me More!" and drops him out of the ring in 60 seconds*
*he's never seen from again*

A fully recovered, healthy Daniel Bryan returns and wins the Rumble. That is all.

I'm talking more the booking of it then the list of participants. Oh well THAT'S no fun..... As much as I liked the 2011 Rumble, it was definitely marred for being booked to accommodate 2 big factions at the time. It's tough to think about another Rumble being booked with 40 people. Additional people from the NXT roster would've been treated the same way as the Nexus and Corre were, I fear. Results being different? Not really. Whomever was winning a 40-man match is probably the same person who'll win the 30-man one in a few weeks. ......because, sadly, mid-to-low card means nothing anymore, and I'd imagine much of the creative booking wouldn't be around in either match. Just a lot of lying around.
