I want Raw to start with announcers standing up, speaking to camera, running down the pre-announced card and possibly a few "and lets take a look at what went down at the end of last weeks show...."
Only for them to be interrupted by a theme song starting and one of them can say "....oh, it looks like we're about to get under way, let's take you to ring!"

I've been saying this for a while. It might actually give the impression that WWE is a wrestling show, you know? If you open it with WRESTLING.

Yes and stop the promo of four/six guys getting individual entrances then an impromptu tag is made. It is such a meme that Lawler and JBL always mention Teddy Long. Stop making your own show an intentional joke. It's the worst during those inevitable-fests when Rollins' music hits, and there's that painfully long intro, then that pause, then he cuts like another 10 minute promo.

I really liked when RAW opened with Evan Bourne and Edge fighting it out in 2010. It was unexpected and great. I remember being absolutely confused as to what was going on. Raw, starting with a match? Did I miss the beginning by half an hour? What year is it? Jumanji?

Speaking of, damn do they need to change his music already. It's always painfully obvious whenever absolutely nobody's reacting to him.

Crazy talk! What it needs is more evil authorities talking about useless crap no one cares about in the start of Raw.

After fifteen years of listening to Triple H talk for twenty minutes to start off Raw I don't think I could handle that. Plus I need-a to know-a what's going on-a in the life of the Game-a.

I'd rather Raw start with an actual opening instead of a cold opening. Yeah, what the hell is up with that? I guess I can understand not having pyro since they're in cost-cutting mode or whatever, but just starting Raw with Michael Cole saying "Welcome to Monday Night Raw!" is the most bizarre thing.

But how else are we supposed to book the nights Tag Team main event without a meandering 20 minute in-ring segment opening the show every Monday?

You know, perhaps it would help the low card guys if most of the low card show time wasn't taken up with people talking.
Raw should start off with a fast-paced low card singles match or tag to get you hyped for the rest of the show.
In fact, unify the IC and US titles, and introduce a TV title that has the stipulation that the first thing you see at the start of RAW is the challenger coming out for the weekly TV title match.

They need to simply vary the opening a lot more. You don't need the Authority or whoever the big heel figure is opening the show every week. Just go random. That was what they did often in the late 90s, and the chaotic feel that came from it made it feel like you couldn't miss a minute.

It would be so jarring every week, cutting from that black and white shot of Mark Harmon's shit eating grin and going striaght into wrestling. I need the soothing tones of I AM THE GAME BUARGH HURR to get me in the right mindset.

Yeah, I hate the current format of 20 min opening promo followed by a mid card throw away match which commentary completely ignores so they can wax poetic about the "huge announcement moments ago!". Switch up the order, every now and then start off with a mid card match that actually gets some hype for the performers.
