Payoff for the Lone Wolf gimmick is him putting over the ever-so-talented Wes Brisco, leading to a 10 month reign with him. Meanwhile, Styles joins Aces & Eights, leaves the group, and aligns with Dixie Carter because why not.

Turns out him and Dixie Carter were actually having an affair. It leads to time becoming TNA's power couple after Dixie divorces Serg and AJ from his wife in real life to make the angle realistic. This leads to Serg challenging AJ in a match for the world title. Serg wins the belt after interference from the whole roster and with a returning Vince Russo delivering the baseball shot that puts down Styles. This leads to Russo turning on Serg and declaring Dixie was his before she was with Serg. And our big feud of 2014 would been Serg vs Vinny Ru for the TNA world title.

Probably stuck and forgotten about in favor of the next shiny toy that crosses TNA's eyes like he's been for years.
It was better for AJ to have left, he's proven that he didn't need TNA. TNA needed him.

He retains the title against Magnus, and then drops it two months later to Kurt Angle.
Angle wins the title with a broken freakin' neck after taking the Styles Clash mid-match.

Trying to do this seriously, and it's pretty hard. Especially with everything else staying the same, including MVP's injury.
I'm not sure what I would do for Styles' first TV feud. Probably Storm.
Somehow Dixie gets desperate and turns to Daniels as the only person who has been able to get the better of Styles more than anyone else.
I'd try to work it so that we'd get Styles-Aries-Daniels in a cage at Lockdown (which I don't believe has happened before).
Daniels wins, but let's say he's still about to depart the company.
Styles wins the belt back at the April PPV (Daniels is leaving AND it establishes PPV events as where world titles change hands, as opposed to TNA today where only ONE of the last SEVEN world title changes has happened on PPV. Hot Potatoing to correct and average is just alright with me)
Styles and Joe feud going into Slammiversary as to who is THE face of TNA. Styles retains.
Aries gets the Option C at Destination X. Styles still retains.
This whole time, Lashley is still built up with MVP as mouth piece.
Lashley goes through the Bound for Glory series undefeated. Lashley beats Styles in Japan at Bound For Glory (or shortly before on television) for the belt.
Styles feuds with MVP while Roode feuds with Lashley.
This was really challenging.

There would be less broken necks. But who would be cashing checks?

Had a fan-booking moment during Lashley's superlative run with the world title over the Summer. Just have MVP go off on how Lashley is essentially Shao Khan, decimating all that stood before him and then, biggidy-boom, "it's been so long" or "get ready to fly" (or both) cut him off.

I don't know who he'd lose the title to, (preferably to Rockstar Spud via roll up where despite both men being on the ropes, its treated as a clean win) the end game would be Styles being part of Storm's stable as "Stylin'" AJ Styles, repackaged with the Orlando Jordan gimmick from 2010.
