After watching 'Deliverance' I am significantly more terrified of Harper than Rusev. Ergo. Harper wins.

They're both very good. I went with Rusev, but they are two of my absolute favorites right now in WWE, and both have tons going for them.

Thread title is misleading. I was expecting deserts, Harley Davidson's, and rattlesnakes.... 4/10

Thread title is misleading. I was expecting deserts, Harley Davidson's, and rattlesnakes.... 4/10 For whatever reason I read deserts like desserts; like you expected there to be a cherry cheesecake in here. And now I too am disappointed.

Right now I'll go with Rusev simply because of the booking. They don't seem to know what to do with Harper so he is just aimless while Rusev has had stuff to do since he arrived.
And really that is the only way could determine this. If Harper was getting decent booking there is no way I could choose.

Harper did the coolest thing when Ziggler beat him on Raw last week. Dolph hit the Zig Zag, and Harper sat up with this vacant look on his face and reached towards the camera, before slowly lying down and being pinned. It was so effective at putting some drama into that 3 count, and it put Harper over as something otherwordly, it was Taker would've done if he was still a heel by the time he got good.
Rusev, the guy is an absolute freak. I could buy him beating Brock Lesnar, it would be awesome to watch him toss Brock around. One of the most impressive athletes I've ever seen in wrestling, with a rare combination of size, intimidation factor, and selling ability.
Both guys are great, but I think Rusev has more of an upside and the potential to go down as an all-time great.

I prefer Harper, but I think Rusev has more potential to be a main event, showcase wrestler.

I really enjoy watching Harper's matches. Rusev, on the other hand, I find incredibly boring and normally skip his matches. So I'll take Harper easily.

I definitely have to say Rusev. I like Harper a lot, but Rusev seesm to have more charisma, I can see him in a main event role which I really can't picture Harper in, and he seems like a more well-rounded performer. Plus his selling is seriously underrated, he's probably one of the best on the roster at it.

Easily Harper for me. With Rusev, I kind of compare him to Del Rio. While they're both good wrestlers, it feels like once you've seen one of their matches, you've seem them all. He seems to rely too heavily on his opponent being able to make the match look unique.
Not to mention, I think that Rusev's gimmick is shit, which makes it really hard for me to enjoy his work.

I like both of them, but I'll pick Harper. I see potential in the crazy gimmick, while despite how much I like Rusev's work, he's one dimensional without Lana.
That said, he's better now than if they turned him Face, because I don't want to see him dancing with Hornswoggle, and "Having fun, John!"

Amazing how much Rusev has grown as a wrestler in such a short time. He definitely got a bright future once he downplays the Russian part of his gimmick. Harper also has a bright future. I see him being the resident big man once Show and Kane call it quits.

I see him being the resident big man once Show and Kane call it quits. Honestly I think Rusev's star would be brighter as a face than as a heel. He kind of seems to me like eventually he'd work well as just being this sort of unstoppable force of nature, like the appeal of him is that the crowd knows that when somebody has to face him, they're in deep shit.

"Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeaaahhhhhh!!!"
That tag match with the Usos on I think MitB was what made me a lifelong Harper fan. Dude went to work in that match and looked like a million dollars.

Rusev is booked as in international incident waiting to happen, an affront to America, whereas Harper has big eyes, a stupid accent and "the Clothesline from Smell."
Both are good, but Rusev, with Lana, is genuinely great.

I hate Rusev's gimmick. People who are old enough to remember the cold war are too old to have their intelligence insulted by the gimmick and those young enough who don't remember it and aren't up on geopolitics, are probably thinking "What's the beef with Russia anyway?"
It's so cheap and elementary. May as well have a puppet show where the 'big bad wolf' comes and gobbles everyone up. It feels like going to the circus - grown ups are bored and it insults their intelligence, kids wonder what the hell is going on.
"Evil America, crush you" gimmicks belong in the past. He should have been pushed as the undercard Lesnar, nationality aside.
