That cheesy song they played should be the theme song to Raw 2bh
I like to imagine they all asked for a NXT contract instead.

It's the fact that people in the UK had to stay up until 4am just to see... THAT. The music was kinda funny though.

That ending tonight has made me actually hope that next week's national championship game crushes RAW in the ratings. If that's the best they can come up with, then that game will be much more appealing. f*** WWE. The national title game was going to crush them no matter what they did.

I thought I'd be done with HHH opening and closing shows at this point in my life. I'm 25. This could still be happening when I'm 60. I may have to find a new favorite thing. Triple H (and Stephanie) have been doing this pretty much since 2000, when I was 14. I'll be 30 come next Christmas. They're never going away

I loved it. It was so over-the-top heel. I mean, people want bad guys they'll actually boo, right? Well you have them.

That stuff was good. What I hated was the deal where firing is the worst thing ever and your stars are a bunch of schmucks who get talked down to. That's the way to make stars.

It was a good ending in the context of the WWE universe (the actual universe, not the bullshit term they use to call us) but as a detached observer I am just sick and tired of it.
I miss when pro-wrestlers (or sports entertainers, or whatever the hell you want to call them) were badasses, and were not portrayed as wimpering wussbags, or Walmart wage slaves terrified to lose their oh so precious jobs which they would be completely helpless without.
(Cue back in the day rant for those who wish to skip to the next post...)
Back in the day when WWE wrestlers used to actually be SUPERSTARS if you threatened to fire them they would say what Punk said in real life. F*** you I quit, and I'm gonna go somewhere else, make more money, and get more over (omitting the part about getting "over" in the kayfabe context) because I CAN.
They wouldn't just stand there like whimpering idiots.
Another thing in kayfabe to Dolph, Rowan, and Ryback. Hey, there's four of you guys in there with Hunter. You outnumber him badly. He's already just FIRED you. At this point WHY NOT just beat the ever lovin piss out of him until security rushes in (beat them up too while you're at it, as Ryback did once before in a 2012 angle where he was a babyface)? Oh, that's right because you don't want him to get mad at you and not bring you back 2 weeks later like we all know is going to happen anyway.
I'm depressingly close to a f*** this company POV right now, which is depressing because that is not normally my kind of attitude at all.

I love how dead the crowd was for all of this, and how John Cena did not even show any emotion to even care that he successfully got three people fired. Once again, John Cena is a terrible friend.
Besides, Stars & Stripes Forever should be the music that accompanies whenever something bad happens to Cena.

Not to defend the ending, but they were categorically not 'in there with Hunter' when they were fired. That was the point of Hunter and Steph walking up the ramp. When they were in the same ring, they were looking at unpaid suspensions, so presumably didn't want to make things worse. When they were fired, Hunter was on the stage and they were in the ring, with no guarantee that they'd be able to catch up with him without being jumped by Authority goons.

So they'll be gone for what, two weeks? Maybe?
I always thought it would be cool for them to treat these angles more realistically. Have the guys appear at some indy shows, or go to Japan, etc. Same goes for Punk running off with the belt.

Mind you, this is the board with selective hearing, so maybe selective sight is the next thing.

He was sad, but I felt he should've shown more emotion in the fact that not only was he forced to bring back the Authority, but was powerless in the fact that he lost three guys' jobs just because they showed appreciation for him. Yeah, I know that there is selective stuff here, but this was my legitimate feeling.

They should have used Blue Pants' theme from NXT with Big Cass giving it "DU DU DU DUUUU".

Yeah, I know that there is selective stuff here, but this was my legitimate feeling. Personally, I kinda got the overall vibe that you were describing from him. That he knew there was f*** all he could do and by trying to be the big damn hero the week before basically screwed over everyone in the company especially the people that went to bat for him. Thinking it over the biggest problem I had with the ending was how dragged out it seemed... making it seem like they were going to have someone interrupt it. Instead of just getting to the damned point.

I was smiling like a goof the whole time at how over the top the Authority took it and the sad look on Cena's mug.
I was so hoping they were going to offer jobs back to whoever would turn and brat the crap out of Cena. But barring that, I hope they continue to play up backing Cena. Continue to praise him, treat him on par with Rollins, out him in matches with stips that help him, and push him hard as the face of the company, to the point that he might as well be a cartoon mascot, and not taken seriously. That would be an interesting way to do this next chapter of Authority vs. Cena. Kill him with kindness.

I'm thinking, "OK, John, you've got a title shot, that's safe and not going anywhere, but you really want us to hire these guys back? Well you get to wrestle Ziggler, and if he wins, they all get their jobs back. If he loses, they're all gone. One more thing, it's an I Quit match"

It's bad that we've all gotten to the point where we WANT to see the WWE fail miserably, we WANT to see the ratings take a complete nosedive...f***, I'm to the point where if they announced they were actually going out of business I probably would laugh.

Posted this in the divas thread but I think it fits here as well. Can someone, somewhere superimpose a red dot on her forehead and then her head exploding? It doesn't even have to look good, it just has to..."be".

Wrestlers had a place to "make more money and get more over because they can". That doesn't exist anymore in kayfabe. Also, now that they're "unemployed", beating the f*** out of Hunner would be a crime.
