So, the match result of Survivor Series wasn't bound by a contract? What was it, some kind of spell powered by some combination of Cena's will and the match result?
If Cena had died between Survivor Series and now would that have given HHH and Stephanie carte Blanche to walk back in and take over?
What's going on here?

Stip was added by Vince either on the show or on the build to the show. Can't remember which but they definitely mentioned it.
Now, why did Vince even give Cena this option? That, I don't know.

It was announced beforehand that if the Authority lost it was Cena's call to bring them back, not anyone else's.
I'd like to know why it wasn't Ziggler's when he won the damn thing and Cena did jack-all, but whatever.

I'm more annoyed that they could have booked an actual interesting angle to force Cena to bring the Authority back down the line but whatever.

If Cena had died between Survivor Series and now would that have given HHH and Stephanie carte Blanche to walk back in and take over? No, Vince said that only Cena could bring the Authority back. So if Cena had died between the end of Survivor Series and the end of last week, the Authority could never have come back. So what should have happened is either a month of HHH and Stephanie, possibly in disguise, constantly saving Cena from a bunch of accidental near deaths, or all of Team Cena trying to talk Cena into offing himself in order to permanently banish The Authority.

Seems like a real waste to go through all that trouble of creating a big storyline around them being removed from power just to bring them back less than two months later. At least give us six months of Authority-free TV so Survivor Series doesn't feel useless.

That...is a weird stipulation, but, like the aliens in Space Jam said, "It IS in the rulebook!" So I guess I can't argue that!

I'd like to know why it wasn't Ziggler's when he won the damn thing and Cena did jack-all, but whatever. Ziggler didn't get it because no one thought he would be the person who would end the Authority (for a couple of weeks). And Cena was the team captain. Now if it was Team Ziggler and Cena still keep control of the Get out if Jail card, then we have a problem.

This is why they show stuff 19 or 20 thousand times a week and had Cole walk people step by step though downloading the App (have ya done that yet by the way? 9.99 million people cannot be wrong!).
I am honestly not trying to pick on the OP or anyone in particular. I just see this so much in the RAW threads, where WWE announces or does something and replays it while people talk about how stupid the replays are all the while all that is going on, another group is wondering why something is happening even though it was announced and replayed several time. Of course there is then the group of people that show up 4 minutes in and want a complete recap even though the opening segment is still going on.

To add on to this, I caught an L in the Raw thread tonight when I totally ignored the reason why the opening segment had everybody in the ring because of the mute button and just assumed it was stupid. So, the recaps are warranted, haha.

When I see stuff like that happen on the board it makes me laugh all the time. Like ok if you were doing something important sure it's ok to ask they'll show a recap. But the ones who barely watch and make threads assuming things are sometimes annoying. It's like those of us who sit the entire 3 hours and 15 minutes needs a sticker or a pat on the back. As a viewer the recaps are troublesome but they serve a purpose for those who channel surf after something boring comes on and they tune back in and those who walk away for a few minutes to do an errand.

Yeah, but making this thread got me all the info I needed in a matter of minutes with no deadwood. If FAN was WWE Magic knows Black Lives Matter would have re-posted his post five times. And that's just tonight!

I think it varies. Certain plot points could stand to be put over more often, and if something's big or it's setting up something for later, fine, recap it. But we don't need to see, "Thirty seconds ago Big Show chokeslammed Kofi!" being recapped on a weekly basis, nor do we need when they do stuff like play Brie calling Stephanie a bitch about ten times an episode.

Well he hustled and was loyal and now he has the respect.
Honestly, it's Cena. If he up and publicly fired every single other member of the staff and turned RAW into a clip show, I wouldn't even bat an eyelash.
This is one area where the WWE stinks. They have all these different authority figures, but there's really no consistency as to how the knee bone connects to the legbone and who can do what.
This angle is....eh, but they did kinda frame it up. The problem is, they could have Mercury come out and flip this for whatever reason next week and it would stand.

And that's just tonight! You are not the only person that mentions stuff like this despite the WWE bludgeoning them over the head with it. It happens on this board A LOT. Furthermore, people were calling their cable companies trying to figure out how to get the WWE Network despite them having Cole spend like 5 minute chunks of times explaining how to get it in detail.

See, here's what I'm expecting.
Vince shows up next week and says that Cena not only had the power to bring back the Authority, but he also has the power to send them away again, so The Authority is forced to clean up their act, while resorting to far subtler means to get their way.

That does raise the question of why Cena didn't do anything last night, unless the revelation was unknown to all and only Vince knew it.

Because of course Vince would show up to counter the national title game, he thinks that would be enough.
