They're the new Los Matadores. Loads of hype but after the debut nothing. They don't even have a costumed midget to save them......great, I just guaranteed Hornswoggle as Little H didn't I?

All things considered, Hornswoggle being in the Authority would be something I want to see, just since him coming out in a suit and tie and being serious would be surreal after everything we've seen him do.

with a promo that in kayfabe didn't make any sense (Big e. and kofi lost a match clean... if the heels cheated it at least would have fit in kayfabe) I remember Xavier commentary a few weeks later being pretty terrible... then they disappeared...
and now came back as a super positive makin' a difference group... which is... ok I guess... but it's not like we have a reason to care about them... or like they've got a storyline of any sort since re-debuting as a unit.
With all that considered it's kinda hard to grade them... Big E. and Kofi are still a pretty good speed/power tag group though... and should mesh well against Cesaro and Kidd

It's an inconsequential, time filling gimmick booked in an inconsequential and time filling way. So I've got no complaints with how they have been handled.

Bless them for trying to be super positive brothers. They need a better theme song and less clapping. But overall, they are at C level. Not good or bad. Just there.

Getting video packages almost always seems to lead to unavoidable fail, dating all the way back to Brodus Clay. It's not a good sign.

Brodus Clay was popular until that Wrestlemania segment and misguided heel turn. Yeah, but he was probably never going to be anything more than low-card filler regardless of whether he was over for the first few months. 'Filler' isn't bad - it's a sign they like you enough to keep you employed but you're not going to get the focus of an Uso or a Barrett and these hyped debuts almost instantly lead to filler.

Almost everyone at some point become filler. The Usos spent most of their WWE career not even being good enough for a match on Raw after their initial debut. Barrett was lucky his debut flowed right into the Nexus and he was the mouthpiece and focal point. After the Nexus and Corre, Wade floating up and down the card before becoming Bad News. Brodus was treated by WWE as a serious potential cash cow. He was all over the place in toys along with Cena and the Rock. A lofty group to be part of. He might not been world title material but he was higher on the food chain then we thought he would be.

If they do that, The Tank and I deserve royalty fees, seeing as we did that about four years ago in WWE:FAN.

It's been more than a year and Los Matadores are trotted out for the 'fun' segments. Fandango had one feud and that's it. Brodus had a few stands with the Big Show but, again, existed mostly to pad out the card. You can kind of tell with some guys what WWE wants of them and I think, with New Day, WWE wants reliable guys to fill a spot. They may be pushed individually but it's quite normal, sadly, for low-card guys (especially with comedic gimmicks) to go their whole run without any character growth.

That's the story of Kofi Kingston's career. He will always be the Tito Santana, never the Hulkster. While it is great to be a bonafide main eventer, gate keepers tend to last longer in the company. Not a bad gig to have. Los Matadores played second fiddle to El Torito so they were never going to be more than what they are. If they win the tag team titles, I will be shocked.

That's exactly what I mean though. Video packages have to signify that a wrestler or a group will be filler. Wyatt may be the only obvious exception since 2012.

Their theme is okay, but I don't get the gimmick or why anyone should care about them. What's their story? What's their motivation besides "We're super positive"? You can't just put these guys together and expect anyone to give a shit.

Bad turn of the events because we all thought these brothers were the new nation. Then events outside WWE caused the angle to be dropped. Honestly now I feel like they should just go over the top with it now and be super heels.
