Alright, I know The Ascension, particularly Viktor, aren't as quite as big as the marketing for the team would have you believe, but was it neccessary to put an actual midget in the ring with them to make them look bigger?
Seriously, was that guy even five feet tall?

I remember Viktor towered over that Dereck Billington guy of the American Pitbulls. They should bring them back.

That was Bumblebee Man without his Bumblebee costume, not a midget.

I just watched that match and I think the point was to have them absolutely dominate jobbers to get heel heat. They debuted as faces squashing Miz and Sandow, but since they are following the internet these days they quickly changed their gimmick from LOD to wannabe-LOD posers who just squash jobbers left and right.
They are now booked like EC3 and MVP were on their initial "winning streaks". I expect them to go on like this for a few weeks until they face real opponents or ONE real opponent (Reigns, Cena, Ryback) who squashes them. After that they are off to future endeavourment. They are pretty much f***ed. Hey, at least creative realized their initial mistake and now bury them right away unlike TNA did with Crimson who they pushed and pushed against the fans' will until they finally buried him.

Except some value came off of Crimson, he put James Storm over huge on his return and gave him a bigger return moment than it would have Storm going over someone who had done nothing. The Ascension has been a lame duck out the gate and I can't see whoever beats them gaining anything from it at all.

If Zack Ryder makes his return by beating the Ascension, it would be a nice feather in his cap

If they'd had a new star beat him and end his streak, it would've been worth it, have the two feud. But instead they fed him to an established star. I mean, I know folks are shitting over Reigns ATM, but if he beats Rusev's streak, that'll be a big accomplishment for him in Kayfabe. Storm, who's a multi-time tag champ and established as a big deal, there's no point.
