Only reason this gets a rise out of people is, every year, we get further and further away from that generation of music.. so every year, it's more plausible that kids wouldn't know who he is. I would imagine there's a good group of younguns who, legitimately, have no idea who Chuck Berry, Hank Williams, or Buddy Holly are. Not that they'd be so blind as to say, "Who are these no-name people?"... once they learned of their place in music history, they'd respect them.... but, it just starts with common, household names no longer becoming common, household names then eventually can turn to blatant ignorance. This. And it seems worse now because the mainstream media is pushing away most of these people too. At least when I grew up, radio and TZV still played a heaping helping of true classics.

I'm not so sure about the biggest musical act ever, but I'm a big Beatles fan. I'd say they are-who's bigger? Really? In my honest opinion, it's Elvis.

I feel like we're getting to a point where it has to be said. Does it really matter who the more famous, more successful artist is? They're all among the greats and should all live in memory through the generations.

Tell that to the media owners who are pushing many of said "greats" out, decade by decade.

I'd wanna say that this is a joke, but it reminded me how a few years ago, I was in a Modern Art class in college and the professor for some reason mentioned Jimmy Page of Led Zeppelin. I was the only one in the class who had any idea of who he was, or who Led Zeppelin were.
