It's a nice idea but horrendously executed. Rather than painfully booking it segment by segment, maybe they should collaborate with Russo beforehand so they can set up the show in advance. Then let Russo talk you through his thought processes of how he booked each segment.

I think part of the reason is that Vince and Chris have no idea how the game works, so the talking through process is more for them. It's boring to us, but hopefully after a few episodes, that will stop.
Right now, I'm on Russo giving the backstory on why they let him go.

Is there anyone in the history of man who has gotten so much mileage out of being grossly incompetent in their chosen career.
If I never hear Vince Russo talk about 1997-2001 again it'll be too soon, bro.

OK... this is painful. The show itself is... mind numbing. But just how long it's taking to book... damn. I really hope they sort this out for the next episode. And for the love of... {Spoiler}I just got to the booking of the main event. Bret/Hogan on Nitro... GAH!

Did he just book the whole show while using only around ten different people? Did he just try to book Goldberg with a broken arm?
Wow, he's awful at this game.

Just from the thumbnail, Russo books more segments on one show for WCW 2000 than I do with three shows a week playing the same era.

I haven't seen this yet, but you could tell from the nL stream that they were struggling to get Vince Russo to work with the actual format of the game, so eventually Johnny just inputted whatever into the game and just let Vince talk.
And then he immediately attempts a more complex version of the game without really being smartened up on how this works, by the looks of things.

In his defense on the NL stream, he couldn't actually see what he was working with, since the video wouldn't load for him. This time though, he doesn't have that excuse.
The problem with trying to use EWR/TEW for fantasy booking is that your bound by the laws of the game. So if you have a set plan going in, the game could potentially screw you over. If he wanted to do something specific like this, he really should've just done a blog like he does for Raw. But I think he really needs to sit down and learn the game if he's going to keep doing this series. It has potential, but that first episode was so hard to watch because Vince just didn't understand what he was doing.
