Just when it looked like he could become a surprise top star when the Shield split up ....Ambrose has been booked like garbage since Summerslam. Now that he has lost again on Raw in a feud ending match (hopefully). I say keep him off television until the rumble with two scenarios of getting a huge (return) pop.
Scenario 1: (this idea originally features Seth, but since he's been added to the main event we will change it to Wyatt). This spot has been done a few times in the past rumbles... Wyatt has been in the ring a while and eliminates everyone including the guy who just came out... So now he has to wait 2 minutes until the next guy. Ambrose music hits and he gets a huge pop (piper came out against flair in 92 and hart came out against Austin in 97)
Scenario 2: Roman and Bryan are getting beaten down pretty good by Rusev, Wyatt and the Ascension (what the hell) then the countdown for no.30 hits and Ambrose runs out to a huge pop out of the crowd and eliminates all the bad guys
Iot course this won't happen because he will get a jobber entrance next week on Raw and lose to Big Show

There was a thread here where someone suggested that Cena snap and beat the shit out of Rollins and HHH, and as I read that thread, I couldn't help but wonder if that idea would be better-suited for Ambrose rather than Cena.

These scenarios are meh. Ambrose hasn't been booked like garbage since Summerslam. His bad booking stemmed from the stupid mmannequin segment on the damn go-home to Hell in The Cell which was booked as the final confrontation between the two. But it ended with Mick Foley of all people putting the damn match over the way it should have been during Ambroses segment.
Ambrose will have a good showing in the Rumble but I see him being eliminated by someone he eliminated earlier. I think he's going to end up feuding with Big Show.

Do Rollins vs. Ambrose at WM and let Ambrose finally defeat him to truly end the feud (for now), then have Rollins try to cash in on Bryan after he beat Lesnar, only for Ambrose to keep him promise from last year and stop him, along with Bryan hitting the knee on Triple H to close the show.

Ambrose is in the kind of Daniel Bryan sweet spot. He's so close to being the #1 guy, but it's all accidental booking; if Reigns hadn't been injured, he would have gone off to quietly feud with Cesaro or something for a few months. But the fans are quickly and naturally getting behind him, and much like with Bryan, you can only ignore the crowd screaming their faces off that loud for so long.

I almost liken Ambrose to DDP in 1997 WCW. He wasn't supposed to be "the guy", but the fans took to him so strongly because he felt real and he was someone fresh and talented. WCW had no option but to make him a top guy, but he still took his lumps and losses. I hope Ambrose will be the same way.
